The GS5 offers breathtakingly beautiful color reproduction and a host of convenient features like the SD voice recorder (25min per 8MB) and MPEG4 Internet movie capability. The smart wind cut system recognizes automatically noise interference and fades it out. With the 10 times Optical and the 500 times Digital zoom you can zoom in to far away objects-and it even zooms in on sound. The Color Night View allows you to take pictures even in the darkest night. The GS5 also includes a DV-input terminal so you can easily edit your videos on your PC and then transfer back to DV cassette. This camera is Bluetooth-compatible.
Advantages: Good quality Disadvantages: a bit expensive
...I was recently looking for a digital camera, now I have found it, the PanasonicNV-DCF7E is the perfect digital camera.
I uses a 8 mb memory card which can be removed and you can insert another one and carry on taking photos.
This digital camera simply connects to your pc via a serial interface and all you have to do is upload your photos from the camera onto your hard-drive.
The PanasonicNV-DCF7E has a 1..8" TFT LCD monitor which is perfect to view existing photos on your memory card.
This camera is fairly small, 118 mm x 66 mm x 52 mm and it is very light, approx. 370 g.
There's room for two CompactFlash cards at the same time in the PanasonicNV-DFC7E. The 1.3 megapixel camera can take still pictures....

Advantages: Tiny digital video camera, takes stills too. Simple to use. Disadvantages: Price!
...than £500) , knowing someone who works for Panasonic and used their staff discount to get us a good deal.
The camera use Mini DV tapes, and Mini is a tag they deserve. They would be about half the size of your average computer mouse. In standard mode 60 minutes of video can be recorded, increasing to 90 minutes in the long play mode. The quality of the video recorded is almost television perfect, with no judder, full colour images, and all the detail as if you were living the moment there and then. It is certainly a superior picture compared to our friends SVHS Panasonic Video Camera.
For you info-philes, the image sensor is a ¼ inch CCD image sensor, means little to me.
When using the camera for video you can either view through a standard viewfinder (you will only see black and white) or you can use the 2.5inch colour monitor screen...
