Try to control yourselves Ciao’ers, but today the Badger will not be reviewing a hair gel or mousse. Oh no, after the various comments regarding his obsession with gels and mousses the Badger feels obliged to review something different and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
Today I’ll be reviewing Pantene Pro V Anti-Dandruff Shampoo.
Due to the recent need for hair gel and mousses I had found that my scalp had dried slightly and dandruff was beginning to appear. As I’ve tried Head and Shoulders previously and it didn’t work so I went in search of a new shampoo that may claimed to rid my hair of dandruff. I stumbled across Pantene in Tesco’s and the shampoo and conditioner was on special offer at £3.49 for the pair.
The shampoo comes in a 400ml white container with a cool blue front. The front of the packaging is very minimalist, however the brand name is clearly shown on the front in black lettering.
Pantene Pro V Anti-Dandruff shampoo claims to remove and prevent dandruff along with keeping hair healthy looking and strong by way of a unique formula that lets pro-vitamin B5 penetrate hair to keep it nourished.
As this is shampoo application is easy, simply wet hair and apply the product as necessary. My hair is fairly short now (approx. 2 inches long) and I found that an amount roughly the size of a two pence piece produced enough lather to wash with. The shampoo itself is white in colour and has a fresh clean wonderful smell that is very easy on the nose.
After lathering the shampoo in my hair for a few minutes the shampoo rinsed easily from my hair. Whilst rinsing I noticed that my hair felt really smooth to the touch. After drying my hair with a towel and then blowing it dry I noticed an improved shine to my hair and instead of looking limp and lifeless it had body and seemed slightly thicker/heavier than normal.
On inspection of my scalp there were no noticeable traces of dandruff and I’m happy to say that after using this product for in excess of 3 weeks I haven’t seen any dandruff in my scalp or on clothes. In addition to this my hair is shinier, more manageable and stronger than before I started using Pantene.
As stated earlier, the smell of the product is very clean and fresh but not too overpowering. After my hair had been dried the smell of the product became more subtle but lasted for hours after.
Would I recommend this product?
Wholeheartedly. I have never used a shampoo that actually did everything it said it would until now. Pantene Pro V Anti-Dandruff shampoo will leave your hair dandruff free, shiny and full of extra body. It is a worthy successor to Head & Shoulders in my bathroom.

Pantene Classic Care shampoo
A slightly different type of review from what I’m used to but here goes…
Personally I think our hair is a fairly important feature. The way we ‘wear’ our hair can say a lot about our personalities. For example have you ever seen a guy walking down the street with a bright pink and green striped mohican and had the thought ‘OK not someone to argue with’ (Bearing in mind I mean stereotypically).

Advantages: Non-medicinal scent, helps control dandruff Disadvantages: Not for serious cases of dandruff
My husband started using the Pantene Pro-V products to help improve the quality of his hair, but had to switch between that and Head & Shoulders to control his dandruff. But when he found that Pantene had a dandruff shampoo, he literally grabbed it off the shelf.
My husband has hair that is thinning on top and he's found that the Pro-V products really make his hair feel thicker and healthier. While these products haven't helped with re-growth, his ... ...Pantene Pro-V products. But he also wanted something for his dandruff, and it seems like he's found a winner here.
The Pantene Pro-V products come in very attractive, new bottles these days (not the one pictured above - check out the web pages to see what this looks like now), and the anti-dandruff shampoo has a very attractive new silver and light blue design, with a rim of metallic light blue on the oval flip top. Advantages: Not much Disadvantages: Wrecks your hair
...her saying! I'd always thought Pantene was a pretty decent range, full of quality and very professional but I was very wrong! I got told how the shampoo wrecks your hair as well as most other Pantene products and since I was also using the conditioner, this had coated my hair in a silicon layer preventing the dye from actually getting through to my hair! My hair was caked in plastic! My view on hair products has totally changed now, this Shampoo&conditioner ... ...have been steered of any Pantene products now! THE PANTENE CLASSIC CARE RANGE ~ The shampoo&conditioner range comes in different types and bottles as like most 'NEW' ranges nowadays.
You have the 'Normal Hair' bottles (Which I was using) Also the 'Dry/Damaged' and 'Volume' bottles.

...You can buy the Pantene Pro-V Clarifying Shampoo in 2 different seizes (at least in Germany *g*): the small bottle contains 200 or 250 ml shampoo, the big one 400 ml. I bought the 400-ml-bottle, because that way every millilitre of shampoo is a little bit cheaper. It cost (again in Germany) about 4 Euro. Wow, how much is that in pounds?? I will have to learn to convert again. Hmmmmm..... 4 Euro was about 8 DM, so it should cost 2,70 pounds in the ... ...with this shampoo. They suggest Pantene Pro-V conditioner. Pantene Pro-V Clarifying Shampoo is produced by Procter & Gamble in the United Kingdom.
Who wants more information, please check out www.pantene.com. I admit, I have never done that, because I simply didn't have any special questions about the shampoo. ...purchased a 200ml bottle of Pantene Prov-V Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, for ‘True Confidence’. It comes in a snazzy new design bottle thats creamy white with Blue and Silver logos and lettering. It is a ‘whitish’ cream, quite thin in texture and does not have that very strong aroma compared to others like Head and Shoulders. I have to use a dandruff shampoo every few months to keep at bay the little bit of dandruff that l get, or ... ...I used the Pantene as instructed and conditioned afterwards with Pantene conditioner. But the condition of my hair even after conditioning was very poor, so much so that l used an intensive conditioner as well on the ends. It was ok then but the shampoo really dried it out. It says to Lather, rinse and repeat. There are also Cautions. Avoid contact with eyes (so l can’t do my eyelashes, then?). If contact occurs rinse thoroughly with water ...
