...problem, when I noticed the Pantene Pro-V Range screaming out for attention.
It was the ‘Smooth & Sleek’ bottle blurb that drew me to buy this particular Pantene shampoo. ‘Smooth & Sleek’ sounds straight, easy to manage and sexy. And that sounds good enough for me, so I snatched it off the shelf (not literally) and headed for the checkouts, hoping my hair would be improved that night.
I got home and headed straight ... ...the bath, I read the front and back of the shampoo again to see what good it would do for my hair. It is supposed to moisturise dry, straight or wavy hair for a smooth and shiny look.
Dove shampoo is supposed to be a great moisturiser too, but that just made my hair feel lank and weigh it down. I hoped this would not have the same effect.
I opened the lid and poured a small amount into the palm of my hand. It was thick ... more
Don’t you just envy those models with long straight and tidy hair? Hair that doesn’t fall out of place, once it has been brushed neatly over the shoulders. Hair that stays in the same place when you step out the front door in 90MPH winds. OK, maybe the last one is a little exaggeration, but we can all wish can’t we?
I am fed up of my hair getting tangled and knotted at any and every chance. Whether I step out the front door on a windy day, just climb out of bed in the morning or go on a bike ride, my hair looks like it has been dragged through a hedge backwards LOL. I just wish it would stay looking as neat as when I had brushed it, by the time I get to work.

And that sounds good enough for me, so I snatched it off the shelf (not literally) and headed for the checkouts, hoping my hair would be improved that night.
I got home and headed straight to the bathroom to wash my hair. Whilst lying in the bath, I read the front and back of the shampoo again to see what good it would do for my hair.
It was thick and whitish coloured and smelt of delicious fruits and peaches blended together. It reminded me of a delicious body lotion or smoothie. As I was massaging it into my scalp, I truly felt I was giving my hair a delicious treat, especially the ingredients that are contained in it. Fruit and vegetables contribute to a healthy, glowing skin and delicious smelling shampoos contribute to smooth and beautiful hair. I like to feed my hair the good stuff and this definitely belongs to that category. The shampoo easily lathers when you massage it in and whilst rinsing the shampoo out, my hair felt a lot smoother and softer. At £2.22 for a 300ml bottle, it’s very cheap for a lovely beauty product that gives your hair a full pampering, which lasts for a couple of days.
The end result after I brushed it:
My hair felt heaps softer and smoother. It smelt gorgeous and also looked a little shinier. I brushed it and it stayed neat, I had hair like the models after all and was very pleased. I even ran my hand through it and it still stayed neat. In my experience, you don’t really need to use a conditioner after this, as it is a lot easier to brush and doesn’t leave you with any knots or tangles.
You can also buy this shampoo in the following sizes, for the following prices:
300ml for £2.22 750ml for £4.89 400ml for £2.64
I have seen this shampoo available in every supermarket I have been in and have found Tesco to be the cheapest.
Sometimes when I brush my hair, it goes all static, and if I have plats in my hair the next day, when I take them out, my hair goes all frizzy, so this shampoo is good for combating that as it’s smoothing formula controls hair frizziness for a sleek and healthy look. Pro-Vitamin B5 penetrates to nourish from root to tip and it will leave hair feeling silky, shiny and touchably soft.
If you have dry, frizzy, straight or wavy hair, then this is for you. If you would like moisturised, smooth and shiny hair, then this is for you. What more can I say?
The ‘Smooth & Sleek’ collection also includes a conditioner, smoothing crème and smoothing styling products, but I think the shampoo alone is good enough for me.
You know what they say ‘You are what you eat’. In other words, give your hair a good feed and it will show.
I am certainly not going back to the Original Source Range after this. This shampoo is a lot cheaper and gives much better results.

But the big question how did my hair feel?
Simply put it felt great! This stuff made my hair feel wonderful and sleek, which is a rare occurrence in my shampoo operations. I felt good and my hair felt good. Which is one of those really important factors for me in haircare.
Now for some official gumpth on the product.

...my thin locks. But despite Pantene not being primarily made up of natural ingredients, it does work very well and leaves my hair beautifully soft, sleek and very smooth. It’s also considerably cheaper than Aveda so it’s one I use from time to time, or if I’m away for a few days, I generally take this one with me and leave my expensive Aveda at home where I can’t lose it!

...new to me hair product. Pantene PRO-V ‘Smooth and Sleek’. Yes, there they were, the separate shampoo and conditioner, in individual, matt white plastic bottles, with a delightful subtle green ringed top, and written on both were the words ‘Smooth and Sleek’ Could this be true? Would my wayward hair become smooth and sleek using Pantene PRO-V? The products are a resounding success., they really are superb.
Before I tell you ... ...packaged shampoo is intensely annoying. Pantene PRO-V has solved this dilemma, by reversing the flat base on each bottle. This means I utilize my sense of touch, once I can’t see because of the water, and never get it wrong. For someone like me who stumbles through life having one minor crisis after another, this means so much to me…
Of course, these are secondary benefits, compared to the vast improvement to my frizzy, badly behaved ...

Advantages: 2 in 1 means you only have to wash and rinse once, leaves hair smooth & looking great Disadvantages: None
the bottle up on it (which means the shampoo is always at the lid end) and the clip shut lid means sure you don't have any spillages if the bottle is ever knocked over.
The label is a simple label it has the Pantene logo at the top and then a green flash with Smooth & SleekShampoo & Conditioner written in white (the colour of the flash changes depending on which shampoo you purchase). Then you have 2 in 1 written in green just below the flash. On the back you have all of the usual info like the ingredients and directions for use etc.
The Shampoo
The shampoo is white in colour and has a nice creamy smooth feel to it, it has a nice subtle smell to it but I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like.
The shampoo lathers up reasonably well, I find that I don't have to use very much of the shampoo (which means it last a long time) and I have ...
Advantages: shiny and soft hair, more sleek and smooth Disadvantages: still doesn't get it perfect.
I have long wavy hair and after I wash it, it tends to go frizzy and gets out of hand. So Im always trying to solve this problem by experimenting with new shampoos. And so I came across the ‘smooth and sleek’ by PanteneProV. This shampoo does help to make your hair more sleek and smooth, very soft and shiny, but still doesn’t make it perfect. It smells really lovely, and conditions your hair well, leaving it clean for a fair number of days. It also makes you hair much more managable for various hair styles, and I found it easier to straighten my hair after using this shampoo when blowdrying it.
Anyone can use this shampoo especially if you have thick, hard to control hair at a very affordable price (only £1.99). Go on, give it a go. ...
I have never been a huge fan of 2 in 1 shampoo's as I just dont think they can give you the same result as shamppoing and conditioning your hair seperately, and I was disappointed to find this one was no different.
I brought this as it was on sale at my local Morrisons for £1 and I thought wow! That would cost me a lot less if it works. And I wish it had, then I wouldnt have to spend so much money on decent seperate bottles.
Appearance & Packaging:
This is all based on the specific bottle I have. The bottle in quite large sized and contains around 200ml of this "shampoo", the bottle has an easy squeeze nozzle at the top, prefect for getting just the right amount onto your hand and onto your hair. It has a good shape which means its easy to pick up and not drop in the shower when your hands are all wet and soapy. It is the usual ...
