They are a sub-prime lender who specialise in secured loans with huge interest rates and payments to match. Many people who take a loan with this lender may not even need to be shopping around in the sub-prime sector of finance, but once they do they rarley settle the loan without incurring defaults, unneccessary charges and sometimes ccj's which insures they will be paying high rates for years until the high street lenders will even consider taking them back.
Tho i can't argue they get some out of a sticky situation when money from any avenue is welcome they play on this and cause many repossesions every single year. as soon a payment is missed, charges are added then the interest and every letter and phone call they make concerning arrears usually results in 30pounds + for that call or letter which if you ask me is totally unacceptable.
Some could say, if you missed a payment its your own fault, in some ways this is true but they have no concept of personal circumstances, ie illness, death or times of hardship. The only advantage of this company and many others in the sub prime sector is they will lend to people who have encountered ccj's, defaults, arrears and repossessions/ bankruptcy in the past but if you want my honest opinion whatever you have encountered before in terms of bad credit is nothing compared to what you should expect from this company. If you need money fasy and you have days to get it and you truly and i mean truly think you can keet up with the paynments then do it till you find any other lender to take over the debt, if you have time to shop around and find the most competetive rates and payments, do that and at the same time you'll be ensuring you won't get bitten!

Quick review of Paragon Mortgages Limited
Avoid!!! They charge you an upfront premium for payment protection insurance, which has that many exclusions it doesn't pay out any way. They treat the PPI premium as part of your loan / mortgage at a staggering rate of interest. If you want to be fleeced, then go with Paragon!! Attention to detail is severely lacking! It depends on who you speak to as to what information they give you, agreements they come to, and lack of communication within departments is abundant. Be warned, do not be conned (like we were!). ...
