Advantages Free standing and moveable
Disadvantages Whilst empty it is too lightweight for a windy day needs securing
I have a greenhouse and it is now my second year of using it. I’m enjoying the pleasure I get from it but because it is only 6ft x 4ft, I’ve seem to run out of space already. So I’ve been looking around the Internet for a second hand greenhouse but most of the adverts are for the buyer to dismantle. Which I didn’t like the sound of to be honest, because when I bought my first one from Sainsbury homebase it was brand new and had full instructions on how to erect. That was hard enough so I don’t think if you buy a second hand one it will come with any instructions some how. But then I came across the Parasene Gro-house, which is a free standing, polycarbonate miniature green house.
The only problem i can see is because it is very lightweight until full of plants, beware it doesn't blow away in strong winds that's why i have put it near a wall and each night i secure it to the wall with stretchable luggage straps. This is because i live next to open fields and it gets quite windy on occasions.
The size is 40”H x 30”W x 15”D. It has been designed for the patio and it is constructed from an aluminium frame with polycarbonate walls for strength and extra insulation. There for because there is no glass to worry about it is perfectly safe for children and pets. It comes well packed up and supplied with a back panel and adjustable lid for ventilation and watering. It has two hinged front doors to allow easy access and it has three shelf runners to put the seed trays onto. The pack comes with 9 seed trays, 3 for each shelf and because the shelf runners are adjustable you can have them exactly where you want and the seed trays can be removed to allow for taller plants. I wish I’d seen this earlier because it is great compliment to my greenhouse and it can be move around your garden where it suits best.
I found it originally on the Parasene website for £102.00 but I then found it a bit cheaper at CMS website for £79.99 but even better still Shedsmart.co.uk are selling it for £59.99 which I snapped up quickly.
