1. Waited in all day for a mobile phone to be delivered... didn't arrive, we called up vodafone (who had sent the phone out) they then got in touch with parcelforce who assured them that it had been delivered!! which obviously it hadn't, vodafone then appologised and sent out another phone... once again, i waited in all day, glued to the front window, looking out for them and once again .. nothing! phoned vodafone and the same story... they said it had been delieverd. Decided to give up which resulted in me losing my free mobile phone for the year. Although some lucky person got 2 free phones out of all this
2. Few years later.. Really need a new phone now and oh no... vodafone are still using Parcelforce!! By this time i had moved house, so was feeling a slightly hopeful that in this new area parcelforce were a little better but.. what a fool i was! waited in all day... nothing! This time parcelforce had no excuse but promised to send it out the next day before 12pm... waited until 12pm. Was losing my patience at this point. The phone did finally arrive at 5.30pm, I couldn't quite believe i had actually seen a parcelforce delivery man.. what a shock!!!
3. I work in a grain laboratory, we get a lot of samples delivered through parcel companies (interlink, city link, royal mail, amtrak) all do a fantastic job of delivering the samples safetly and securely.. Parcelforce however were unable to do such a simple task, the bags we received were chewed up (guessing this happened on a conveyor) burst open, the samples were mixed up and completely useless. The delivery man find this highly ammusing and was literally stood laughing about it. Needless to say out company does not use parcelforce anymore
4. I ordered a camcorder via the Comet website (online offer) as it didn't say anywhere which parcel company they used i didn't know until they contacted me the day before that it would be PARCELFORCE. great!! I set my chair up facing the window looking out for them, fingers crossed as this was a birthday present and i needed it before the weekend. At around 11am i saw what looked to be a delivery driver walk straight past my house and walk into the shop next door, surely not parcelforce i thought and chuckled to myself. I saw him them walk out of the shop, straight passed the house again, walk further up the road and out of view, few minutes later .. there drives off a Parcelforce van... No no no. No card left for me, no knock at the door, there was even a large space to park right outside my house, the only explanation is that he tried to deliver to the wrong house. I decided to risk making a fool of myself and went to the shop and asked if parcelforce had tried to deliver something to number 6, phew! yes they had, i had to show them ID as i didn't have a delivery card. I am just so glad i saw the delivery driver, otherwise i would never have known. I have heard nothing from any neighbour about a delivery card and knowing the local shop they wouldn't have bothered to tell us we had a parcel there.
So basically Parcelforce are a complete waste of time as far as i am concerened. If i ever order anything again and am told parcelforce are involved i will not hesitate cancelling my order straight away
