Advantages: The tracking is at least truthful! Disadvantages: They don't deliver when they promise, poor call centre/depot customer services

Like the majority of people I am usually out during the day so home delivery either takes a bit of planning or is a bit hit and miss. Parceline tried to deliver my ... ...friend was kept waiting by Parceline for 20 minutes until someone answered their call). I didn’t like the fact that it was a central call centre 0870 number and would have much preferred dealing with the local depot. I got through and arranged delivery for the next working day, which was Tuesday. Delivery could be at any time from 8.30am until 6pm unless you want to contribute further to their profits and pay extra for a specified morning, ...

Advantages: many different services Disadvantages: Geared up for businesses
...reviews on this site about Parceline I relised that many many people are not happy with this company, though many of the reviews are from a few years ago, I feel I'm in quite a privaliged position here as I have worked for them for three years and have also been an occasional customer.
So tell me about Parceline!

Parceline is one of the premier parcel delivery companies, it is owned by a french company called Geopost ... ...said before I worked for parceline for 3 years, starting off in the warehouse, Chelmsford if anyones interested, then progressing to on "OJT" or "on job trainer" as ithat is what OJT stands for, I then progressed onto working on goods on hold, which is where all undelivred parcels go, so I was the one who would try to arrange redelivery or would send the parcel back to sender. I then became an acting supervisor and I worked in the office, to provide ...

Advantages: Use their webtrack facility to confirm that they're holding your parcel hostage Disadvantages: I have to work for a living which is incompatible with Parceline.
Parceline have clearly invested a lot of money in technology to track packages, however when it comes to the simple things like, say, being able to deliver at reasonable times for working folk, and basic customer services then it all falls apart.
A couple of days ago I ordered a new phone through O2 (delivered next day no problems by another courier), which unfortunately didn't work, so they arranged a Parceline 'Swapit' service so I could give ... ...to go wrong. Parceline will only deliver between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, which is of absolutely no use to me and I suppose 95% of other working people. When I got home yesterday there was a card with options to arrange redelivery which is no help as it is the same times. The second option is to arrange redelivery where you can specify 8am-12pm or 12pm-6.30pm for an exorbitant £5.95. This again is not helpful because even if I take a half ...

...I find a similarity between Parceline and porcelain. Don't ask me why, but it's just what came to my head instantly when I heard the name of the company. In fact, for a while I was pronouncing the name of the company as one long word as opposed to Parcel... Line. Whether there plan was to trick customers into thinking they are some sort of ceramic based company I don't know, but they sure got me. I was first introduced to Parceline as they were the ... ...has never been damaged with Parceline and that they always do get it back fairly quickly. I'm not someone that eagerly tracks my laptop every day as well, so I'm not sure how regulary they really do update their tracking service, although I'm guessing if I'd gone online earlier on the day of my laptop being delivered I probably would have been able to see that it was coming. Not a bad contract for Parceline to have, and I'm guessing most of their ...

...have my first experience of Parceline the other day. I had relieved our receptionist as is usual when her time to return home arrived. At around 18:30 hours the doorbell rang and I automatically opened the door (which is situated about 5 meters from the reception desk), the person stood and waited, and one of the staff was leaving opened the door. The delivery agent huffed and puffed saying to me 'You should have helped me carry in the boxes'. As ... ...signature capture system that puts Parceline light years ahead of its competitors instead of this cutting edge technology I was provided with a new A4 signature sheet, and asked to sign, which I of course did, and just as I entered 19:10hrs on the sheet I heard the delivery agent say 'no don't put the time'; I smiled wryly (I can be a bit like that). The agent left, and I duly noted the tracking number for later reference; I mean this guy wasn't ...
