Advantages: Interesting, gourmand blend, better than its predecessors Disadvantages: Average, isn't refined or sophisticated
...Eau de Parfum Spray by Paris Hilton. Celebrity perfumes have flooded the markets in recent years and not exactly known for their sophistication though having made by nose Jean-Claude Delville who also created Happy for Clinique and Vera Wang for Vera Wang, amongst others, I was intrigued to find out if Can Can was any different from her previous fragrance, Heiress I tested last year.

The box is glossy white with pink writings and a delicate feather motive. The bottle itself is surprisingly simple, looks like a conical flask with a slanted square metallic top. The clear glass dons small pink feather motive on its front and its name on the neck of the atomizer.

The packaging
Certainly, the evocative name makes it somehow stand out from the crowd. Can Can, the signature dance of cabaret-varietes in and around Place Pigalle, north of Paris , has long been the symbol of the so typically French decadent joie-de-vivre. The box is glossy white with pink writings and a delicate feather motive. The bottle itself is surprisingly simple, looks like a conical flask with a slanted square metallic top. The clear glass dons small pink feather motive on its front and its name on the neck of the atomizer.
The fragrance
Top notes: clementine, blackcurrant, nectarine
In the initial sweet sugar rush of various fruity notes I identify nuances of mandarin, cherry, melon and pineapple. The opening fruity and sweet fruits have a ripened in a fruit bowl / cherry jam / compote feel as a few moments later notes of other heavier fruits mix in as well such as peach and apricot liqueur. This mixture is soft, rich and sweet but isn't sickeningly heavy. Some 15 minutes later, I'm getting some cognac infused and slightly smoky roasted almond nuance as well, which isn't overpoweringly sweet or syrupy and also has a light streak of fresh, citrusy feel that lifts the heavy-ish spicy main notes. The composition is well-blended because the heavy essences seem to diffuse gradually upon application then fade somewhat as the more delicate but deeper floral notes emerge.
Middle notes: orange flower, orchid
The smoky-bourbon feel does go away after about an hour and the sugariness dies down somewhat as well. A gentle awakening of a delightful, rich, floral nuance that reminds me of candied citrus fruit and exotic flowers which gives the skin a gourmand edge and envelops it in a warm sensation, so ideal on a summer day when the weather is somewhat colder. The fragrance is an interesting composition in that the heavy gourmand notes nicely blend in with lighter fruity-floral aromas (passion fruit and peach melba to my nose) while retaining their gourmand attitude which is never overpowering. The middle notes blend in with the remaining floral and fruity notes which, only holding a supporting role, make Can Can soft and powdery with a hint of creamy vanilla, caramel and nuts, a multitude of flavours only orchid is capable of producing. The fragrance retains this delicious phase for about 3 - 4 hours.
Base notes: musk, amber, woods
When having been wearing Can Can for about four hours, its sillage having almost completely gone, the base notes take over. The dry down is deliciously gourmand in a mellow and toned down way. The lighter notes sit on a thin layer of subtly green, earthy woodiness that reminds me of the base notes of Lancome Hypnose's vanilla and vetiver, only heavier and 'stickier'. Gradually, the long awaited woods appear, comforting and giving Can Can a sensuous, 'husky' feel, an edge that's rooting it down while the gourmand notes distinctly stay on top and create a creamy, buttery base on the skin.
Conclusion
Of course, Can Can does not come up to the excellence of L from Lolita Lempicka or Juicy Couture and its staying power is somewhat less than an eau de parfum. Having said that, Can Can is well blended and isn't 'in your face'. The interesting blend of oriental and gourmand notes make it versatile and wearable for many occasions. The fragrance is suited well for a cooler summer as well as autumn and fun evening wear. It's not overly sweet and the soft musk and amber base does suit many skin types provided you like gourmand scents. To sum up, one of the countless celebrity fragrances that will not be remembered for a long time to come.

...am going to review the Paris Hilton's Can Can eau de parfum.
Every couple of months or so I do like to treat myself with a new fragrance. I love trying different perfumes as I think your fragrance says a lot about you. So one day , I was browsing in Boots sniffing different bottles of perfume , trying to find one I liked. I was torn between this one and Coleen Rooney's fragrance. I asked my friend and she said she prefered Paris' fragrance , and ... ...of £18.00 for 100ml.
Paris Hilton is a famous American celebrity ; she was once most notable as being the grandaughter of the man who started the Hilton Hotels. However , despite already being a millionnaire , she now has her own business! She's had a go at acting , singing , and also has a lot of products to her name including the fragrance I am going to review.
The bottle is simple yet effective. It involves a clear bottle with a single pink ...

Advantages: Girly, not hugely expensive, nice if you like sweet scents Disadvantages: Not the most exciting bottle, horrible if you hate sweet scents
'Can Can' by Paris Hilton is the heiress' forth perfume entry. She based it upon a Moulin Rouge theme and the idea of cabaret; the bottle is of great elegance. The fragrance includes: Clementine flower, cassis, nectarine, wild orchid, orange blossom, musk, amber and woods. To me, the initial scent is very sweet but has a woodsy undertone, however, once it settles it is considerably less sweet and you can smell hints of the oriental edge she has tried ... ...it stays until you change. Paris Hilton herself didn't create the perfume; it was developed by perfumer Jean-Claude Delville but based upon her ideas.
Compared to her previous bottles, this perfume's bottle is quite bland with it being plain with just a pink edge to it and decorative feather. The idea of the Moulin Rouge to me would make me design something much sexier, however, it's not a bad perfume but perhaps not if you like the stronger, bolder ...

After having all 3 other Paris perfumes and liked them , I wanted to smell this fragrance as it will be part of the collection. My friend bought this so I didn't have to as I just used hers and she used it so much I got bored of the smell of it but it still is a nice perfume , don't get me wrong!
*The bottle Design*
I don't think this is the most intresting design of perfume bottle out there as it has a pink leaf on the side of the bottle but it's ... ...boring but it's simple. *The Scent *
I do like the smell of this perfume as it's a blend of clementine, blackcurrant, nectarine so this is a very sweet blend , It's not the nicest of her perfumes - I much prefer heiress !
*Representably priced *
it's usually around £36 for a 100m but it varieys from shop to shop. I would recommend this perfume for people who are looking for something different and very sweet and it's a good day time perfume , ...

****Elizabeth Arden: Pretty, Eau de Parfum ****
I love perfumes and so couldn't resist buying this one when going past the Elizabeth Arden counter. Thanks Dooyoo for the cheque :-).
**Elizabeth Arden**
I think of the brand as a high quality brand. They sell cosmetics and toiletries d can be found in most department stores
**Packaging and bottle design**
For this perfume they have went for a very girlie look. The box goes from dark pink to pale pink at the top and has flowers down the side. The bottle reminds me of the ParisHiltonCanCan bottle .Most of the bottle is see through and the lid is flat with a hint of pink and a flower shape in it.It is quite heavy feeling and has a sturdy glass bottom.
**Smell**
My first impressions of this is that it has a very sweet and floral smell to it. I cant help but shake the feeling that i ...
