Advantages: Excellent lightweight and bomb-proof frame. Strong durable components. Disadvantages: Slightly pricey with mid-range components.
In 2006 I purchased a 2005 Kona cowan frame that i could custom build. This review is based on my experience on using the frame rather than the full bike supplied by Kona. Despite this I can comment on the specification and value for money of the full bike. The best feature of this bike is certainly the frame, retailing at around £499 alone. The components on this bike are chosen based on there performance as jump bike components. Taking into account what this bike will be used for, all the components are strong and durable. The more you pay for bike components, the lighter and more efficient they become without sacrificing any strength. The components on this bike are fairly average when compared to the quality of the frame. Therefore I think the bike is a touch over priced at £1000 rrp, but certainly worth the money. Advantages: Good guests Disadvantages: Biased interviewer
It seems that Parkinson is the English show that the majority of major American stars do when they are over here, and also features very well known English celebrities. However, I really don't know why Parkinson is seen as 'the' chatshow to do.
Michael Parkinson is completely biased towards everyone he interviews and needs to take it his head out of their backside long enough to ask them a 'real' question. The viewer doesn't actually find out anything about the interviewee (maybe why the celebrities like appearing on the show) but are instead made to watch them being continuously praised for everything they have have ever done, regardless of whether it is good or not.
Although not a big fan of Jonothan Ross, I can see why his talk show is competition for Parkinson, he asks awkward questions, puts stars on the spot and has a laugh ...
Advantages: value for money Disadvantages: enamel wears off on hob
I purchased my cooker about 4 or 5 years ago now and think it is one of the best buys i have ever made. Had a few teething problems at first. The first one i had the enamel kept wearing off of the hob, so they sent an independant tecnician to come and look at it. He had no idea what was the cause but advised on a replacement. With the second one i chose a different model, this one the sig414 and had a little enamel wearing off under the hob grids but nothing too major to worry about as it didn't show and did not spread. On one occasion the glass door shattered for no apparent reason. I rang parkinsoncowan and they came out within 2 working days and replaced it for me. I have had nothing else to worry about with this cooker, it has become a good trusted friend, and i am completely sattisfied with the service that parkinsoncowan gave me ...
