I first started using Parlux about 10 years ago when my mum introduced me to it, it used to only be available in specialist beauty supply shops but now it's available on the internet. The Parlux models are also widely used in hairdressing salons which shows just how effective the results are. Using this brand you really can achieve that just stepped out of the salon look! They are super powerful - the parlux 3200 is 1900 watts. There are two speeds and four heats, plus a coldshot button. A long 3m cable is useful but by far and away the best thing about this hairdryer is the nozzle design. It comes with two nozzles, and the one I use is the one with the really thin gap - this allows you to direct the hairdryer downwards and smooths the hairshaft while you dry, resulting in a smoother sleeker look. Super dry!

Advantages: Small, weighs next to nothing and power

I needed a new travel hairdryer to take away when I went on holiday to Florida. My normal hairdryer is huge but, powerful so I needed the most powerful travel hairdryer I could find without spending over about £15 for it and as light as possible. I checked various sites and the usual looking at offers to see what I could get for my money. I found this first on the HQ hair site and priced at £14.95 it was right in my budget - however I thought I?d have a scout around first and then to my delight I found the same one in Boots for a fraction of the cost at just £8.46 on offer! Good Ol' Super Mario Bros.

Advantages: Great 4-way multiplayer quality, for a platformer
Disadvantages: A lot of recycled or uninspired material
