A nice little set, has good novelty value and our one has had a good few uses in it’s year of living in our house. Amber loves it and likes to make her own drinks with the help of Mum on a regular basis! I think it's easier to shove some ice into my Kenwood Chef liquidiser but I am a party pooper :-)

This is a kit for children, which enables them to make slush puppy type drinks in a funky slush puppy machine shaped like a penguin! It is along the same lines of Mr. Frosty, but I think this one may be slightly cheaper.
The kit retails at £9.99 from Argos.

DIRECTIONS **********
Pour water into ice cube tray and freeze in the freezer. As the kit only comes with one ice cube tray, we normally make up some normal ice cubes if we’re going to make more than one drink, as the small ones included with the kit are pretty pathetic!
Remove Party Penguin’s hat and put the ice cubes into his body, which serves as the ice chamber.
Replace his hat and press it down, whilst turning the crank handle in a clockwise direction.
When ice cubes are completely ground, take out the spoon and open the ice drawer. Take the ice pieces out of the drawer with the spoon and put into bowls.
Take the cap off the penguin plastic bottle. Fill it with whatever flavouring you desire and replace the cap tightly.
Squirt flavouring into the crushed ice.
There is a large warning on the instructions to this set, stating that the metal blade has very sharp edges and to only use with adult supervision.
I would not allow Amber to play with this on her own, not just because of the above, but she would not be able to turn the crank and put enough pressure onto the hat of the penguin to make the crushed ice. This definitely needs adult help, regardless of it having sharp blades.
Easy to clean. Just rinse the inside of the party penguin with clean warm water.
