After many hours digging and planting many plants in my back garden, i was left with a fence that looked a bit bare. I'm not into the typical plants like roses, ivy or clemtis. So i surfed the net looking for inspiration and maybe something a bit more exotic. On only a few sites this plant would pop up. The flowers look gorgeous, Green petals with a purple trim and then something that looks like a purple triangle in the middle of it. Very exotic and beautifull. It would look just right spread across my boring fence. Unfortunatley on all the sites i visited i couldn't find a single plant as they were all out of stock. So i visited all the local nurseries in my area and still couldn't find a plant. I was begining to think they didn't exsist. One day i was at my local car boot sale and was walking aimlessly past another plant stall when i noticed a little plackard that said Passion Flower. It only cost me £3.50 and stood about a foot high but i couldn't wait to get it home. I actually pulled up a Clemitis to make room for the Passion Flower. It has been in my garden all summer now and it is still flowering. You only get one or two flowers out a t a time but they are so striking it doesn't really matter. It has grown enormous and not only covered a little piece of fence i put a side but it is starting to cover the back fence also. I'm not complaining. Everyone that has come round this year has commented and now everyone keeps asking for a cutting. I haven't done anything special to keep it in good nick, i'm not that good a gardener, but i'm keen.
