I discovered this little jar of heaven by accident. I thought I had bought a ready made sauce only to discover I had bought a paste. I'm glad I made the mistake because this has such an intense flavour that the whole family prefers it to an Indian takeaway. If you don't like your food too hot then this might not be the product for you. It certainly has a kick to it. As soon as you unscrew the lid, the unmistakable aroma of lemons and spices just makes your mouth water.
As well as using Madras Paste to make a curry I have also used it to marinate chicken before putting it on the barbecue and I have mixed it with some creme fraiche to make a spicy curry dip. Make sure you have some poppadums ready for this dip, it doesn't hang around for long! There are other products in this range that are equally as good with less spice. Give it a go, I'm sure you will be surprised at how authentic this is.
