Patriot Games - Tom Clancy

Advantages: Great Read
Disadvantages: Will be spouilt a bit if you have seen the film

Basically you cant make a good film of a clancy book leastwise not if you have read the book first. Dont get me wrong the film on its own and the book on their own are great its just the pair should never be seen together as the film only bears a small resemblance to the book. So this is where we find out how Jack Ryan joins the CIA, and why he joins the CIA. The book starts off with Jack Ryan in London, The first line is very good. “Ryan was nearly killed twice in half an hour.” I just think that it is a very good way to start a book, it also sets the scene for us, because it goes and explains that first he is nearly run over by a double Decker bus. ...national hero with the admiration of the whole nation, but it also puts him on the hit list of that nations most dangerous men. This is one of my favorite books! Well, i love almost every piece that Tom Clancy wrote. And certainly, Tom Clancy has proven his diligence in writing this one. I recommend every spy novel lovers out there to try out this one. I' sure just like me, you will never set this book down without finishing it.
