Advantages: gets rid of tangles in seconds..literally! Disadvantages: doesn't do much for hair reconstruction

I bought a 300ml tube for 9 pounds from a local salon which is fairly reasonable as far as salon price tags go.
The blurb at the back says its for medium to coarse and chemically-treated hair. As the name suggests its a "detangler" type of conditioner one which is not necessarily formulated to give shine or add protein to reconstruct the hair shaft. As far as getting rid of tangles goes this is probably the best product Iv used. Within 20-30 seconds my tangles (usually aggravated by their shampoo mind - you can read my review for their shampoo one as well) were all but gone. It did leave my hair feeling soft and silky afterwards and as an added bonus I noticed my hair dry quicker than with other brands.
However - this is a big However...
The consistency is somewhat on the thin side and you might as I did, end up using an awful lot awfully quickly. Also while it is a detangling miracle worker and no doubt brilliant for hair prone to tangles and for those with curly hair it didn't really live upto its claim for "chemically treated" hair like mine. I found with continued use the hair felt limp and without body. Possibly something which contains amino acids or protens of some sort would be better for chemically treated hair. For a hefty priced salon brand I expected a little more from my conditioner. While I still use this conitoner on my knotty hair days I'v since switched to Tigi!
Advantages: Great for Frizzy, curly hair, nice smell Disadvantages: Could improve packaging
...much so, that i use Paul Mitchell shampoo 1 as well now. The conditioner is great, it conditions your hair well but without feeling heavy nor is it difficult to rinse off leaving you feeling like you have a build up of it. It has a lovely almost naturally soft smell to it which is great as i have sensitive skin and find many hair products too perfumed. The only downside is that many salons in my area are no longer stocking it, as there are other ...

This is the conditioner that my hairdressers used. One dayi decided to try this and purchased some from my salon as my hair always felt great after a visit to the hairdressers. My hair is long, blonde and is also highlighted and after washing it was always very knotted and straw like and a nightmare to comb. This conditioner was a god send. It leaves you hair so smooth and sleek and eliminates all dryness and knots. Once your hair is dry it is so ...

Advantages: Only need a tiny amount Disadvantages: rather expensive
...hairdresser introduced my to the Paul Mithchell range of hair products. I had always been sceptical about hair products created by famous hairdressers -products that are only sold at hair salons at a price more than double of well known brands that are sold in chemists.
However the condition of my hair convinced me that the expenditure was well worth it. My hair now looks healthy and moisturised. It is bouncy and shiny whereas it had been so dull ...

I never really used to use conditioner I always thought it was a waste of time and more trouble than it was worth but I started to dye my hair and found my hair was becoming more and more out of condition so I decided to start using a conditioner. My friend used this conditioner so one night i was staying at hers I decided to use it. I thought it was brilliant it had a very nice refreshing smell and made my hair perfectly smooth and light and bouncy. ...

Advantages: gets rid of those tangles - every time! Disadvantages: a little bit more expensive than your average conditioner
I have very thick and very curly hair. I find it very difficult to find conditioners that actually let me run my fingers through my hair... This conditioner is amazing, you only need a small amount (my hair is shoulder length)I use the size of a fifty pence piece and run it through my hair being careful to massage the ends. I can then get a comb or even brush through my hair afterwards. It doesn't weigh your hair down and leaves it soft and shiny. ...

Advantages: Not tested on animals, detangles your hair and eliminates static Disadvantages: Leaves the hair looking a bit greasy
I purchased PaulMitchell Lite Detangler a couple of months ago for my little daughter. She has a very dry, slightly curled hair, that gives us a hand full of work every day. It gets tangled every night and mornings are known to be a battle of will between me and her regarding combing her hair. To her defense, she does put up quite a fight for a 5 years old , kicking and screaming all the way.
And so I got this Lite Detangler from the hairdresser, hoping for a little bit of sunshine during our mornings.
Who is PaulMitchell?
PaulMitchell is a hairdresser who, together with John Paul DeJoria, decided in 1980 to created a brand designed especially for hair care professionals. The company wasn't a big success in the beginning and they struggled not to go bankrupt for the first year. In fact, the now famous Black ...
Advantages: really rich and makes hair softer than silk soft Disadvantages: can be too heavy to use all the time
as well panthenol to prevents breakage and split ends. I just used this conditoner a few hours ago and running my hands through my hair its still wonderfully silky and so so soft. The best thing about the condioner has to be the smell..milk and honey and caramel its so yummy.. and the smell lingers for a few hours after u'v dried your hair too. The conditioner is quite heavy and can leave fine hair feeling weighed down so i alternate with a lighter conditioner such as paulmitchell's detangler and its working well for me. oh yes and it does make the hair very shiny too! ...
Advantages: Large bottle Disadvantages: Available from Salons only
is particularly good for oily hair and scalps.
The ingredients tell me that it contains:
Lemon extracts;
Hawaiian Awapuhi;
chamomile;
henna;
rosemary;
aloe vera; and
Jojoba.
The bottle I bought contains 500 mls (16.9 fl oz) and cost £7.65.
It smells extremely lemony, which may be off-putting because of the resemblence to some washing-up liquids. Also, as readers of my other ops will know, I have a problem with perfumed products so need to rinse thoroughly. On rinsing though, it seems to leave a residue, although the hair still squeaks when the water is squeezed out.
I have used it without a conditioner, but my hair looked and felt like straw, so would not recommend this if your hair is fine and/or highlighted. (I have been using the PaulMitchellDetangler conditioner, and will write an op on that soon as it ...
