I was bought a bottle of Paul Smith London by my girlfriend around 11 months ago and it has become one of my favourite aftershaves.
Paul Smith Paul Smith produce many items, perfumes being just one of them. They have a fair range of fragrances that they produce such as Paul Smith Extreme, Paul Smith and Paul Smith London. Here I will be reviewing my bottle of Paul Smith London.
Packaging This aftershave comes in a cardboard tube which is blue. It has Paul Smith London written across the front and back. If you look very closely at the box, there is actually a map of London embossed very lightly in the background of the tube which is very clever. The tube pulls apart about an inch from the bottom and once opened, the aftershave bottle stands in a little display which is inside the tube. The bottle itself is dark blue in colour. The bottle is fairly wide at the bottom and then about two inches from the top, the bottle gets much thinner. The lid is dark blue and sits quite tightly over the spray nozzle.
Price I tend to buy this aftershave from Beauty Bay and here it costs £17.49 for a 50ml bottle and £21.99 for a 100ml bottle.
Sizes This aftershave comes in 3 sizes, 30ml bottle, 50ml and 100ml.
Smell I think this is quite a spicy aftershave and well as having a slightly floral hint. It's very distinctive, once you smell it, you can't forget it! The Paul Smith website tells me that the ingredients for this aftershave include green mandarin, violet flowers, mint, jasmine and lavender, as well as Australian sandalwood, Tonka beans and amber. Although the scent sounds quite flowery, it definitely smells masculine. I think that this aftershave smells like it has coconut it in but according to the ingredients it doesn't have any coconut in it. This aftershave is definitely noticeable but without scaring people away.
How Long Does The Smell Last? This scent lasts all day easily. I work on a building site and wear this aftershave to work and my girlfriend can smell it on me still when I come home so it has a more than reasonable lasting time, which means that the fragrance lasts longer as you use less of it.
In Conclusion I would definitely recommend this aftershave. It is original and very distinctive. It has good staying power which means it lasts longer and it is also a reasonable price. I think this aftershave would be suitable to wear for any occasion whether it's just to work, or for an evening out.
