I bought this product in Superdrug in my search for whiter teeth. The packaging I’m afraid to admit drew me in, so that obviously worked. The box, silver and sparkly though I no longer have it so cannot go into detail, definitely caught my eye.
The bottle itself contains 50ml of toothpaste and is designed to stand on its lid. However if you choose to then it will also stand on its base, which is an oval shape and flat. The bottle itself contains 50ml of toothpaste and is designed to stand on its lid. However if you choose to then it will also stand on its base, which is an oval shape and flat. The word “sparkle” is written 4 times in three different fonts on the front on the product, with the brand name “Pearl Drops” featuring quite largely at the top in a bold circle of colour. The front also has small silver stars dotted between the writing and in the background.
The lid is an odd shape and hard to describe – it’s wider at the base and screws onto the main bottle securely. No leaking toothpaste from this bottle.
The content of this bottle is a mint green and can be seen very clearly through the clear plastic packaging. It does however look more like a gel than a paste.
The back of the product states “Pearl drops Party Sparkle. The finishing touch for a brighter whiter smile.”
It should be used twice daily and is effectively a toothpaste or not so effectively as the case may be.
On applying what is actually more like a gel than a paste, I found it sat very well on my toothbrush unlike some which decide to slip off.
Add water and go.
It tastes quite nice, very refreshing and I decided that it tastes like the red alcoholic shot Aftershock, though if you have never tasted this that’s not very useful, so I will elaborate. This toothpaste has a hint of cinnamon, which is cooling and fresh. It is also clear in the smell that it is a combination of mint and cinnamon though there is no indication of its flavour on the tube. Overall it isn’t too empowering and actually tastes quite nice.
I found the product didn’t foam as much as I would have liked from my toothpaste, ideal in that it isn’t messy but not so good for coverage.
I use an electric toothbrush and do brush twice daily. I found that whilst I could reach those “hard to reach areas” I wasn’t getting that desired effect. My teeth didn’t feel that clean.
After about 10 days had to also use normal toothpaste in addition to this whitening product.
I also found that the Party Sparkle did not have any affect whatsoever on whitening my teeth. At no point have I noticed whiter teeth, and I am still using it – 3 weeks later.
You do not receive a chart to compare your tooth colour like you do with some other whitening pastes, and do theoretically it is quite hard to compare but visually I see no change.
I wouldn’t recommend this product as whitening toothpaste because it doesn’t feel like it actually cleans my teeth that well and it does not whiten as advertised.
I’m inclined to try a different product but before I do so I will be hunting around for some reviews on it, which I didn’t do with this one. This one was quite cheap and stood out. Not always the best way to buy a product.
Advantages: Whiter, cleaner teeth. Disadvantages: Expensive, might not work for you.

Pearl drops
With the festive season well and truly upon us, and with me being totally driven by marketing ploys, I spotted this on the shelves in the chemist and it became one of those "have to haves". ~~THE PROMISE~~
I don't think that I actually delude myself that it is going to be too dramatically different (if at all) to other toothpastes of the same ilk. However, the fact that it is a party sparkle toothpaste meant that it was going to adorn ... ...50ml tube. As with the Pearl Drops products I have used before, this one stands on its lid, which is screw off.
The toothpolish itself is a kind of aquamarine colour, and can be seen through the tube, so you know exactly how much you have left. Give a little squeeze, and out the polish comes, looking a slightly paler shade of aquamarine. It has a nice minty smell and taste, not too strong, but very fresh tasting.
~~HOW TO USE IT~~
Just apply it ...

length they do this, whether they use ingredients that have been tested on animals or whether they even go so far as to test their finished products on animals. I’d suggest that if the issue of testing on animals is a strong one with you that you avoid Church & Dwight Co., Inc brands and products. I’d also suggest e-mail them via their wesite as mentioned above and asking them directly what their stance on animal testing is, so that you get the information straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.
