Advantages: A nice little practice amp Disadvantages: gets a bit fuzzy when you turn up the gain too much
grate infront of it. on this grate is the peavey logo as writing at the top, and the logo symbol at the bottom.
At the top of the amp is where you have all your controls and things. from left to right it goes like this:
Input( where you plug in your lead, which in turn is connected to your bass),
The gain control,
The low, then mid, then high equalization (gives you different sounds by putting the knobs to different numbers (between 0 and 10))
Headphones (obviously allows you to put headphones into the amp)
Power button - On/Off, there is a little green light which tells you if the amp is on or not. you can hear the amp humming anyway but its just in case.
This amp is a really good amp for beginners, or for any pro who just need a practise amp. i like to think im past beginner, and im told im very good by friends (i never ...
Advantages: Great for its price. nice clean channel. Loud for 15 watts Disadvantages: Terrible lead channel. No effects loop. No footswitchable channels.
I purchased this amp as part of a 'starter package' for £180. That included this amp, a peavey guitar, case, cable, book and tuner. Personally I think the amp was what made the package worth the money, because it sure as hell wasn't the guitar... Anyway, enough of the unneccessary details, I assume you people are reading this to find out how it sounds. I won't put you off by just saying outright what I think of it, but I'll explain my reasonings to give you a better idea of what this amp is good for, and also what it is not good for.
It is a practice amp, plain and simple. It's not made for great tone, but for a person just starting out who doesn't want to fork out a lot of money. Its got 2 channels, lead and clean which I will discuss later, it has an 8-inch 15watt speaker so it's only made for low volumes, and to be produced cheaply ...

Advantages: Really nice clean tones Disadvantages: Rather muddy and weak overdrive channel
analougue sounding reverb it is too.
External speaker out which is handy for larger gigs.
FX loop which is always nice.
Thats about it, nice and simple.
Durability:
This thing is built like a tank! while i was taking it to a gig in my car it fell over onto a metal bracket in my car boot and luckily missed metal panel with the volume knob on it but hit the wood casing at the top left instead and made a massive dent in the wood! But this thing is built so well that the tubes didn't even break! Very shock absorbant indeed. Also a very very heavey amp for a 212! - I think it must be the Eminence Speakers that are 60W each instead of the stock Peavey speakers that were 50W each
Value:
I think overall this amp is perfect for a guitar player who diggs the clean tone or playing soft rock or blues etc. definately not for the metal head! I ...
