Advantages: Image adjustments to give great view, waterproof, adjustable eye-relief Disadvantages: fixed magnification, average build and design quality
type of prism is compact and can be used to make very light binoculars. The use of nitrogen within the binoculars alongside the prism and other components makes it water-proof. Also an O-ring is used to seal the focal points of the binoculars and then purged (filled) with nitrogen to prevent water from entering the binoculars. Being waterproof there is a limit of how deep into water binoculars can go. Most waterproof binoculars in the Olympus 8X25 WPI's range tend to be waterproof until they get to a depth of over 2 meters. This is because the lens within the binoculars is made out of glass and due to glass being fragile and taking into account the pressure of the above 2 meter water depth the lens is bound to shatter.
The viewing end of the binoculars also known as the eye-relief area is adjustable to give you maximum comfort when using ...

Advantages: Waterproof, pocket-sized and decent pictures Disadvantages: Clearly not as good as a digital SLR and some features are rather gimicky

We had previously looked into whether there was a camera available that was designed for travel, something that offered a bit of bump protection and, maybe even a splashproof facility. As it was no more expensive than most of the other compacts from the major photography houses we decided to make the leap. We've no regrets.
The camera itself comes in at a tiny 102 x 51 x 22mm (WxHxD) weighs 120g and is made from rather sturdy plastic. It feels great in the hands and certainly more robust than many ...

Advantages: Affordable, Competitive Spec, Good Compact Design & Well Built Disadvantages: Consumes Batterys like theres no tomorrow
The Pentax Optio 50 is one of the best digital cameras on the market. The small compact design and simple control layout, allows even novices to get to grips with its many functions quickly.
The camera has an excellent zoom, both optical and digital. On the whole, the picture quality is very good. Though without a flash, the picture is easily blurred. The range of picture modes is useful, though you can get buy without using them quite nicely. The video option on the camera is a nice little feature, and the quality when transferred to the PC is very good.
There are a few slight draw backs to this camera. The battery connectors are a bit tempremental, and can be easily broken off. The camera also eats batteries, so ensure you have re-chargables before purchasing. The camera has no speakers for the video function, though ...
