Advantages: Great build quality, easy to use and good picture quality.
Disadvantages: No image stabalisation and no wide angle capability in the lens.

Advantages: can really take it anywhere
Disadvantages: mine freezes occasionally

...I have had this camera for 2 years now and I see myself keeping it for a long time to come yet. Doing a lot of canoeing it is perfect for me. I keep it in my bouyancy aid and never have to worry about going over. With some waterproof cameras I have used - you end up with water droplets on the lens cover and so end up with blurry pictures. I rarely have this with the Optio. I keep it in a neoprene case and this is a brilliant combination, giving it some protection. The only problem I've had with it is in cold weather it sometimes freezes so you have to take the battery out to reset it. This happened out of warranty so have learned to live with it.
