Full review
I happened to buy this camera in early September, in Osaka, Japan, at more or less the same price as listed. Turns out to a pretty good deal for a beginner like me, but my boyfriend complains about its lack of camera-professional equipment, eg. better lenses etc.

Looks-wise, it is available in three colours; silver, pink and blue, but I find the silver most likeable, as the pink is a really deep, shocking pink while the blue... it's kind of dull. The camera is slightly thicker than other models I like, such as the Canon IXUS series, simply because this camera is operated by batteries. However this is actually the good thing about it, because AA batteries are much easier to get, available in almost anywhere. I remember this occasion when we were in the Lake District and my boyfriend's old DC ran out of battery and he did not have the spare one with him... trust me, it was a total dismay when we couldn't take any picture of all the lovely things we saw in there. Even better, 2 good AA batteries can last it for up to 5 hours, and if you use the ones for digital cameras, even better!

Using batteries also mean it's a bit heavier than other new tiny models, but hey, you're less likely to lose it if you can actually feel the weight of it, and it's not so heavy that you want to put it down. I'd say it's just right.

The LCD screen is really clear, although it might get a bit flashy under strong lights. However I have to say the lenses are not so good, it doesn't zoom a lot, and the flash is not strong enough.

But to make up for all that, it has all the cool functions you need to play with it and get addicted to it. It features special settings for taking pictures of the normal stuff like night view, close-ups, distant scenery and stuff, but it also has special settings for flower close-ups with which you can still take pretty super-close-ups with a shaky hand, and settings for sea-photos, sub-aqua, food, self-photos, and it can help you do special effects like collage, merging two photos into one, connecting photos, colour lenses etc, which I find really cute!

Ooh, and the picture quality, it's excellent. Even shows black heads, which became a bit annoying and I had to choose a lower quality level...

Instruction manual is very clear, and the camera is generally working very well with the computer software that came with it, which helps you make funny photos too. Although, the camera could be a bit slow reacting when it's running low on batteries.

On the whole I'd suggest this camera for newbies in photography or digital cameras, but for the experts, I won't say this is the camera for you. It's a really good one to start off with, with all the functions there to help you become the expert you want, but if you alreay know your stuff, I'd say... maybe something else.
