You have to see the LCD to see what you are taking, so have to be close to the same level as the screen. This means ... ...your breath while taking the photo. You also have the problem of your buoyancy trying to bring you up to the surface.
Another problem is with the lighting, the lower you go in the water the less light you get and so you have to rely on the flash more and more for pictures.

So the point of a review is to answer people's question on whether it is worthwhile buying the item. I would say for a lot people the answer would be a resounding YES.
who would buy one….Well if you weren't looking for a camera that could be used in water there are other models that are cheaper and better suited, but If you are looking for a camera that can take photo's in the water then this is definitely a contender for your hard earned money; but only if you are after staying near the surface of the water. If you are looking for a camera to take with you while Sub Aqua Diving, then look elsewhere. You have to see the LCD to see what you are taking, so have to be close to the same level as the screen. This means that you have to either have a snorkel or hold your breath while taking the photo. You also have the problem of your buoyancy trying to bring you up to the surface.
Another problem is with the lighting, the lower you go in the water the less light you get and so you have to rely on the flash more and more for pictures.

The camera does date a while sometimes to take a photo in auto mode, but that is when it has problems with deciding what to focus on and if it is moving. In these conditions it is better picking a different mode, which stops the problem.
The pictures produced by the camera are nice and bright (the occasional grainy one can get taken if you are not a little careful in dark lighting conditions) and look good even on A4 paper.
Annoying things with the camera…The biggest is the lack of a lens cover, found in a lot of camera's
So should you buy one?
If you want a camera that is rugged and can work in the rain, if it is dropped in water, on holiday taking shots of your friends in the sea, then it is Ideal
If you don't need your camera to be safe around water then pick another camera, as you can get cheaper and higher spec ones that are not waterproof.
