seem to perform AT ALL with certain types equipment. Digital cameras in particular, are a problem, especially 'higher drain' Digital SLR cameras. I have owned Digital SLR cameras where such batteries would not provide more than 44 exposures - and this, without using flash! In reality, with certain devices, I have found them to be almost completely useless. At first, I thought it might be down to a faulty battery charger, so I exchanged it for another. Still no better! I then exchanged this one for a more expensive one and at the same time also exchanged the batteries (2 sets, both different makes). Still the performance was pathetic. Even in equipment which doesn't place such high demands on them, they simply do not hold their charge for any length of time. Freshly charged batteries would become flat within just a few days. Uniross AA rechargable batteries

Advantages: Easy to charge, long-life
Disadvantages: None I can think of

I first came across this brand when I needed batteries more suited to my camera than ordinary, non-rechargeable AA batteries (as mentioned in my previous review). They were recommended to me by the cashier as reliable and perfect for what I needed them for, as they're good for longevity. I thought maybe these were the most expensive and that's why they were recommended, but they were about £25 for 4, which was cheaper than some other brands of the same description on display. I have since looked online and found both the batteries and the charger I use for a cheaper price, try amazon.co.uk and dell.com. The first time I used them, they lasted a good couple of weeks, alternating use between my camera and CD player. They proved especially useful in my old CD player, which usually stops mid-song, and I'll have to re-adjust the batteries ...

the intelligent battery charger.

Advantages: Cheap, reliable, long lasting, reasonable price.
Disadvantages: Still gets warm. Plastic plug = breakable?

believe that most of my batteries have charged in about 60 minutes, on a full charge from an empty battery. As well as getting the charger, which plugs straight into the wall it includes 4 x 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA's (which are in sliver, and look quite attractive, you won't get these thrown out as they definately stand out from panasonic and duracell) You can charge AAA batteries however the sale only comes with 4 AA batteries. It has a sensor control, a red and green light, to tell you when it is still charging and when the charge is fully complete. Another helpful feature is that it includes a car adapter for no extra cost. This charger the Sprint 90 accepts Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd batteries, in both AA and AAA Formats, charging them in sets of 2 or 4 at a time. Also charging 2 batteries will reduce the charging time.
