Pepsi comes in a nice shiny, plastic bottle with ridges at the top for easier handling making it easier to handle for anyone with arthritis, rheumatism in the wrists or people who are generally weaker possibly through age. Pepsi has a blue label with a big circle that is coloured red, white and blue. It also has Pepsi written on in big capital letters like this, PEPSI. The cap to the bottle is blue with the Pepsi logo of a circle with red, white and blue colours. The cap can be difficult to take off sometimes and it would be suitable for a redesign to be made, to help people with less grip open this better. There is a way of opening a bottle with the hinge of your door, but it ruins your paint work and your door. Surely Pepsi could come up with something to make this better.

The bottle feels nice and shiny. It has a 5 sided bottom like little legs to help the bottle stand better. I like the fact that the Pepsi bottle stands better it means less spillage. The bottle stands out from other bottles and has a familiar design to it which hasn’t changed much over the years. The bottle that we purchased is 2 litres. On the label is written the ingredients and nutritional values. We are reminded by the little logo that this bottle must be disposed of properly it is also recyclable.

Pepsi is better refrigerated and is also nice with ice - cream as an ice - cream float. Pepsi is nice with ice cubes, but you can’t have Pepsi hot. Well… I suppose you could, but it wouldn’t taste very nice.

Looking at the bottle makes you want to know what’s inside it so taking the lid off. You are aware of a black liquid which can be seen on the outside of the bottle too. It looks almost watery. I am quite inquisitive now as from the outside it looks like I am looking into a dark pool of mysterious liquid. Inquisitively I turn the bottle cap and you can hear a slight fizzing noise that makes you think, “mmm, what is this liquid?” the fizz sounds somewhat reminiscent of a snake. The liquid smells very sweet and almost flowery it has distant feelings of a summers day. I think this is when it is best consumed although it can be consumed anytime at all. In the summer months you can have a barbeque with a glass of ice cold Pepsi and some ice cubes in. Summer seems such a long way off with Christmas only 11 days away.

I take a sip of the Pepsi and it fizzes softly in my mouth not like some other fizzy drinks I’ve tried which can be too harsh. Something else is, it has more of a mellow taste than coca cola or other variants. It reminds me of the pub coke that you get off the tap and I like that. It’s got a traditional and familiar taste although I have always opted for coke rather than Pepsi I am actually changing my mind. Although it is sugary it is not as sugary as coke which is good because too much coke puts a layer on your teeth.

The taste is a mixture of sweet syrupy and fizzy. Yes you can actually taste the fizz and it’s mellow compared to other fizzy soft drinks. I like this factor because the fizz does something to the back of your mouth and is very refreshing. Pepsi is not a very hydrating drink, but it is refreshing. What I mean is it wouldn’t quench your thirst quite the opposite actually it leaves you wanting more.

After drinking Pepsi you have a sweet aftertaste in your mouth which is really nice and a slight layer on your teeth though not as much as other brands. Also you could try Pepsi Max to combat this my husband loves this and says it is a caffeine hit without the sugar.

The liquid from Pepsi pours nicely out of the bottle into the glass fizzing as it pours into the glass. When this liquid touches your lips it makes them tickle a little the same with your tongue. I like to get the liquid in my teeth and tongue to feel the fizz. This drink although milder in fizz than coke or other soft drinks would hurt your throat if you had a sore throat.

In the glass this liquid looks lighter than black or if you’ve had coke lighter than coke. It is almost brown in parts when the light hits it. Looking into the glass you can see tiny bubbles fizzing up to the surface though not as many as other soft drinks like coke. It stands quite still compared to other soft drinks.

A nice way of using Pepsi differently is to pour the liquid into some lolly makers and freeze them over night to make ice lollies. These are good in the summer months especially for children or adults who like lollies. As I previously mentioned ice - cream sundaes are nice with Pepsi and a blob or two of ice - cream then stir up a little. Try to serve chilled as I think Pepsi tastes better this way.

What I would say compared to coke is that this drink is more watery than coke.
You can find Pepsi in almost all shops including, local stores and supermarkets. Pepsi comes in all sizes from small bottles, cans to 2 litre and 3 litre bottles. Depending on the size the price varies and offers can be found a plenty. For this 2 litre bottle we got it free with our chicken meal.

Pepsi is a drink to suit young and old alike, but it seems most popular amongst kids and teens. I think this drink will be on the shop floor till the end of the world.
