Performance Power PRO PALM - Electric Sander

I like to make my own jigsaw puzzles, as I have mentioned I think in another review, and for this reason I bought myself a lovely sander so I could finish of the pieces well and make them smooth and look professional. The one I bought cost me £18 and I bought it from B&Q when my daughter took me and it is a Performance Power PRO PALM - Electric Sander.

I have used my lovely sander a lot of times now and the only thing that aggravates me about it is that the electrical cable on it is a little bit on the short side so that I have to make sure I either stand very near to the electrical socket when I use it in my shed or if not, then I have to use an extension cable, and I tend not to like to use extension cables very much. My neighbour has also borrowed my sander form time to time for his DIY jobs, and he has often said it is a nice power tool and that he might buy one himself.

I don’t think the price I paid for my sander was too bad at all because I have used it a lot of times and it is very easy to handle and I find it very comfortable and easy top operate. It does vibrate a lot when it is switched on. It is a switch button control and it does make a loud noise and give off dust. There is a little dust bag at the side of the sander which is attached and it collects the dust well, though sometimes some does escape so I always wear my safety goggles and a good dust mask when I am sanding in my shed. The dust bag does not fill up too quickly though, even if I am sanding a lot of pieces of the puzzles.

This sander is also very good for sanding large surfaces and I have sanded down my internal doors in my house with it, both upstairs and downstairs. It is good for both small objects like my puzzle pieces and also handy for the larger areas too, so it is very versatile. It has a good-sized sanding pad which is 90mm x 187mm and these are easily changed and I buy spares from B&Q.

I am very pleased with my electrical sander and I find I would be lost without it. I wouldn’t like to be sanding my puzzle pieces or my internal doors by hand as it is far too much hard work and using an electrical sander makes my life much easier, even if it is very noisy.
