Persil describe this as a liquigel, well it is more liquid than gel like, in fact I think having gel in the name is Persil just trying to make you think it is something different. It does not act like gel in any way, it might look like a gel if you leave it standing still on the side, but then most washing liquids would look like gel left still!

I have never had an allergy to washing liquid and so unfortunately cannot give any advice on whether it might harm your skin.

Ever since I tried the new aloe vera loo roll I have been going a bit mad about alow vera products, and they seem to be the new craze. Hopefully, it won't just be a craze as this liquid is really really nice.
I was sceptical at first and didn't really think much of this new fad. I was a loyal customer to Ariel liquid which I had been using ever since I owned my own washing machine.
However, I saw this and thought why not, I will give it a go and if not I will just pass it over to my boyfriend who normally doesn't say no to me giving him all the stuff I have bought that I don't really like! Things like washing liquid or cleaning stuff mostly, the odd shower gel!
Anyway, back to the point..It comes in a clear plastic bottle and normally has a free washing ball on the lid. The liquid is a pastel green colour. I poured out my first dose of this stuff and had to have a quick smell. I must admit, the smell put me off a little bit, it doesn't smell fresh like other liquids do. I was worried my washing would come out smelling weird! I use fabric conditioner in my washing so luckily when I pulled my washing out of the machine it smelled lovely. Don't worry, the smell of this liquid is not a bad smell, it is just not what you are used to washing liquid smelling like, you can certainly tell that this product contains aloe vera which I think is responsible for the different smell.
I have not tried this liquid on its own without conditioner but I would imagine that the smell would disappear in the wash.

This liquid is non biological which means that it is kind to your skin and suitable for use on your childrens clothes. It does warn you on the back that it may contain natural plant enzymes and may not be suitable for people with particularly sensitive skin. I have never had an allergy to washing liquid and so unfortunately cannot give any advice on whether it might harm your skin.
I was washing my bed sheets with this liquid the first time and when they dried and I put them on the bed they felt different. I had not changed the conditioner so the lovely new softness to my sheets must have been due to the Persil.
The bottle contains 1.5 litres of liquigel which is enough for 30 washes, but I think you would only get 30 washes out of it if you live in a soft to medium water area. Unfortunately, I live in a hard water area so I have to use a little bit extra to get the desired results! The bottle costs 3.24 in my local Asda store, this is really the same as most other top brand liquids and is cheaper than Ariel.
I would certainly recommend you give this a go, do not be put off by the odd smell when your washing dries it will be softer than ever and kind to your skin at the same time!
Advantages: USE NO MORE THAN YOU NEED, FRESH, LASTS AGES ... Disadvantages: CUPBOARDS FULL OF DOSING BALLS - NEW ONE WITH EVERY PURCHASE!
...instead ..) and has Persil emblazoned in large red lettering for those of us who are poorly sighted ...
Take off the dosing ball - if it hasn't already fallen off/or is being chased round the kitchen floor by the cat/dog/child and you will see another dome shaped top. Unscrew this, stick your nose in and inhale - it has a strange aroma at first, but the smell once used in laundry is a little more subtle and delicate. If your looking for a floral ... ...moment - Persil estimate about 30 washes from this 1.5 litre container - but this does depend on how accurately you measure it out and taking into account your water type.
I highly recommend Persil Aloe Vera Liquigel, even if it is martian colour!

Advantages: Great smell, non bio, washes cloyhes well Disadvantages: Caused a skin reaction
Persil aloe vera is the newest non biological and dermatologically tested product. It is available in tablet form, powder form and the new liquigel so named as it pours like a liquid and looks like a gel.
I have for as long as I can remember always used persil non bio for doing my laundry. I have always find it to clean well, but I was fed up of the same smell. So I decided to try persil aloe vera. When I got home from shopping I couldnt wwait until ... ...away you go.
All persil product are made by lever faberge. After my sons reaction I contacted their customer services and spoke to a very polite man. They were very appollogetic, and let me know that as with all cleaning products some peoplee get personal reactions that cant be forseen. I was very happy with the way they dealt with my complaint.
Lever faberge also make other well known brands.

Advantages: Cleans clothes adequately Disadvantages: Smells too strong and horrible
The Persil range was my favourite washing liquid for donkeys - washed clothes, doormats, nappies - the lot. Always used non-bio, as bio washing aids EAT your clothes if they are made of natural fabrics - wool, cotton, silk etc. Persil, in their infinite wisdom, withdrew their non-bio and gave us Alo Vera instead. I tried it and moved brands. The Alo Vera stinks, and you can't wash the stink out of the clothes. I believe that any liquid that leaves ... ...big sigh of relief when Persil brought out their non-bio again. Unfortunately, I now have another's non-bio habit, and see no reason to change, as I think most of the leading brand liquids clean as well as each other (I wash terry nappies, I should know!) and there must be some other criteria to assess them on.
So, sorry Persil, too late to save this loyal customer. ...

washing up. I have to be honest, not always a brand I usually buy but I thought I'd give them a try as they do have a big range and I usually hear good things about their brand. The website doesn't give much in the way of a history about the brand; all I know is that they are owned by Unilever who do a lot of washing up and cleaning products.
So, it was at my Tesco that I bought my Colour Care capsules, Persil do many ranges they have Non-Bio, AloeVera, Silk & Wool and Handwash and Freshness of Comfort. They also do a range of products from tablets, to Liquigel to capsules.
The reason I chose colour care is because I do own a lot of colourful clothes and like to keep the colour bright and looking as good as it always has, not faded so this was an important aspect to me. Persil say that Colour Care really makes sure the dirt comes out ...
