I always buy the Non-Biological tablets as I get very itchy skin, and it seems to help. Since switching from Bio to non Bio, I have noticed the difference, I only scrat a little bit now.

The site is great, with loads of info on Laundry prodcuts.

Well I'm back after just four days in Tenerife. You wouldn't think we only went for four days with the amount of washing I've had to do. I've let David off doing some as he has to go straight back to work and I've got until Tuesday. For about a year or so now, I've been buying Laundry tablets, ok they might be more expensive than your conventional powder, but they are so handy and easy to use. Whilst in my local Co-op the other week, I came across a new product from Persil called Persil with Aloe Vera. There was also the tempting tag of 1/3 off the suggested retail price. This amounted to somthing like £2.69 for 24 tablets, that's 12 washes if you use the recommended 2 per wash. I always buy the Non-Biological tablets as I get very itchy skin, and it seems to help. Since switching from Bio to non Bio, I have noticed the difference, I only scrat a little bit now.
With the tablets comes a leaflet explaining a little bit about Aloe Vera, apparently its part of the Lily family, hence my title. I pinched it from the leaflet, hope you don't mind. The plant also looks like a Cactus without the prickles I presume. It's kind on your skin, that's why sun products i.e aftersuns and lotions have Aloe Vera in it. I thought this would be excellent for my sensitive skin, even though the leaflet says "people with sensitive or damaged skin should avoid prolonged contact with this product", that puzzled me slightly as I thought Aloe Vera soothed sensitive skin. I will use the tablets up, then maybe change onto something else for a while, afterall I can always go back onto them.
*Instructions for use*
With the tablets you get a netted drawstring bag, unwrap the tablets and place them inside the bag. Then place the bag on top of the laundry at the back of the machine. They do dissolve very quickly leaving no powdery residue either. What I used to find with boxed powders were , that it left white powder in my black tshirts. These don't do that at all, I'm very pleased with the results. Don't put the tablets direct into the dispenser, it will say on the packet if you have to do so. I have tried other tablets where you don't use a net and put them in the drawer. They aren't to be used for handwashing either, even though I'm sure no harm would come to your clothes.
*Ingredients*
Aloe Vera of course, Soap, Aliphatic hydrocarbon, Phosphonates, Anionic Surfactant, Non-Ionic Surfactant, Oxygen based bleaching agent, Zeolite.
As I say, this is a non-biological pproduct but may contain some traces of Plant Enzymes. You can smell the Aloe Vera on opening of the wrapped tablets, they smell lovely and fresh.
*Results*
Clean, fresh smelling clothes. I don't know if they are any different than using any other powders, laundry products etc, but I do like trying new stuff, I guess I'm every advertisers dream customer. I've washed my bed linen with them and this is where I normally itch, in bed, so this was the real test. The sheets came out smelling gorgeous, but don't they all, I think everybody loves clean freshly laundered sheets. That night, I didn't itch once, maybe it's early days yet, but for now, I will carry on using them and recommending them to you.

I bought this product from my local Co-op but I presume Asda, Morrisons sell it. Don't forget to look out for the 1/3 off tag.

...and creams – and now: Persil tablets for your clothes! I have a toddler and I always seem to be doing washing. As a mum I have to be careful about what washing powders I use in case it causes a reaction to my sons skin, so when I saw these new tablets I thought I’d give them a go!

Of course I unwrapped the little tablets and put them in the little net, which then went inside my washing machine along with the ...

...around Safeway, I spotted these, Persil Aloe Vera tablets. And they were on offer! Ooh the excitement. So I bought these and rushed them home to get my washing done (I was wearing my last pair of knickers) and of course to write the opinion for you lovely people....so here it goes....

Advantages: Saves time Disadvantages: Losing the net and residue sometimes left on the clothes
I’m usually not one to go for gimmicks because generally they are more trouble than they are worth, but I do like anything that takes the effort out of my laundry. And the measuring of powder and cleaning the tray is one job I really could do without so I decided to try some of the ‘new’ in drum tablets (this was when they were new).
I was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked. And as long as they haven’t been pulverised ... ...Just pop two (or three if it’s really ingrained mud ala kids at the park) into the net and away it goes. Remembering to retrieve the net before my son runs off with it at the end is the only other bothersome chore. No net though and sometimes you end up with ‘residue’ on darker clothes on the lower temperature washes.
The only other problem is there is only really so much you could do to allow for smaller loads. One or two work ...

Advantages: Quick, clean to use, and clean clothes to boot Disadvantages: None that I've found yet
If any of you have read my opinion on PersilWashingTablets, you might think to yourself, this woman is crazy, even trying another sort.
When I first saw the Ariel tablets advertised on TV, they made a big deal on how easily they dissolved. Yet more proof to me that there were real flaws in the Persil ones that I had tried, with such awful results.
However, I did tread gingerly, and only purchased a very small trial pack, on special offer.
I need not have worried. These Ariel tablets indeed dissolved beautifully, crumbling to nothing in seconds (as I noted from keep opening the drawer to check).
Main worry over, now to the efficiency of the cleaning. This was just as I had expected, very good, and is what you would expect from a leading brand. The smell of the finished washing is very nice and fresh, and I have had no ...
Advantages: cheap, works well, smells nice, don't have to use too much per wash Disadvantages: doesn't always remove stubborn stains
I bought Asda Logic washing powder one week, when we couldn't afford £3.25 for Persiltablets ! Asda Logic was £1.95 which was the cheapest brand that looked any good.
Now, it isn't as good as Persiltablets, I admit, but for the difference in price, it is well worth it.
I have a lot of washing to do, being the mother to four children aged between four and ten years old. My four year old often feels it is necessary to change into five different outfits a day and seems to spill something on each item of clothing. So washing powder is my friend !
We buy washing powder each week and as we usually only have £60 to spend on the weekly Asda shop, a saving of around £1.30 is a good amount.
What's more, Asda Logic works well, it cleans clothes of all materials and colours. It has never damaged any of our clothes and they come ...
Advantages: Trusted brand name, Kind to skin, Dermatologically tested Disadvantages: More expensive than some other alternatives
Persil have been making washing easier for over 90 years now. In 2002, Persil launched Persil Aloe Vera. In their words "Containing Aloe Vera extract, this product has been designed to leave washing clean, fresh and comfortable next to delicate skin".
But does the product live up to the marketing claim? From my experience so far, yes.
Persil Aloe Vera is available in both tablet and powder formats. Easily identifiable in the supermarket from the typical white coloured box and Persil written in red writing - the feature distinguishing the Aloe Vera version from other Persil products is the presence of 'Aloe Vera' written in green writing, a teardrop shaped graphic showing a section of an Aloe Vera plant inside, and frothy green tinted bubbles along the lower half of the packaging.
My personal preference where washing is ...
