The secret to Perspirex working so well is it does not contain any water. Quite a few antiperspirants on the market contain both water and aluminium chloride which causes the reaction between the two to take place inside the bottle rather than in the sweat gland which usually results in the plug being created on the surface of the skin therefore providing protection that does not last as long.

It is recommended that you put Perspirex on last thing at night before going to bed and then wash it off first thing in the morning, the reason for this is you sweat less at night which reduces the risk of Perspirex reacting with the sweat on the surface of the skin which minimises irritation.
You must avoid using Perspirex if you have any cuts or abrasions as it may cause irritation, you must not use Perspirex on an area of the body you have shaved for at least 24 hours.
Perspirex is not suitable for children.
Perspirex is available in 2 forms:
1. Roll-On This is designed for use under the arms and has a comfort buffer which makes it more comfortable to use on the more sensitive skin (aluminium chloride in alcohol is uncomfortable to use on sensitive skin).
2. Lotion This is designed for use on the hands and feet and is a little tougher than the roll-on; the reason for this is the skin on our hands and feet is thicker and less sensitive which means no comfort buffer is needed.
You can use Perspirex on other parts of the body that you sweat from apart from mucous membranes such as the mouth and your genitals. Riemann and Co recommend using Perspirex on no more than ten percent of your body surface as sweating is a healthy mechanism designed to get rid of certain waste products from the body.
Perspirex is produced by Riemann and Co who were founded in Denmark in 1979 by Claus Riemann, they are a company which develops and produces effective skin products. They believe in using as few ingredients as possible to minimise the risk of allergies, many of their products are alcohol based and therefore self-preserving and they add no perfumes or colourings. All products produced br Riemann and Co undergo meticulous in-vivo testing by thorough clinical trials on human subjects in Europe's leading research institutes. No product leaves their GMP approved production site without undergoing strict quality control.
Using this product
I decided to purchase the 25ml under arm Roll-On and use it on my armpits.
The first thing I noticed was the smell, this product really does smell foul, I really can't describe it, it is like a mixture of alcohol and mouldy cheese!
The product had nice packaging and the roll-on itself was quite easy to use and in fact I had to be careful because so much of the product comes out (it was dripping all over the place). I would say about 2 minutes after application the itching began, not wanting to scratch the product away I decided to ignore it and thought it would eventually die down, it did a little so I was eventually able to get to sleep but it was not a particularly pleasant experience. The next morning when I woke the itching had gone and when I had my ususal shower I was able to wash the product away with ease (my armpits were a little sticky though).
Does it work?
Yes! I did three tests on this product:
1. The Office Working in a busy office which can sometimes be quite hot and stuffy I usually do sweat a bit, while using Perspirex I did not sweat at all and there was no odour.
2. Running I decided to give Perspirex the ultimate test by going for a long run, I did sweat a little but there was no odour.
3. Swimming I thought an event such as swimming may affect the effectiveness of this product but it made no difference.
Would I use it again?
Yes! I would probably use it if I was going to a special event and did not want the risk of sweaty armpits or body odour, I think this is a great product for anyone who suffers with these problems.
Bad Points
This is not the kind of product you want to be putting on your armpits before a steamy night of passion, my partner Andrew commented several times about the bad smell!! ( the smell does go away once you wash this product off in the morning)
You do get used to the itching but it is quite annoying
Perspirex is one of the more expensive antiperspirants on the market.
Perspirex is available at: Savers, Superdrug, Waitrose amd independent chemists.
Advantages: stops sweating, long lasting Disadvantages: has a chemical smell
...wear off. I saw PerspireX on the shelf next to the other deodorants and picked it up as it was bright Blue in colour and the top of the box had a triangle shape, which made it stand out from all the others.
PersprieX costs around £7.00 for 25ml, which is expensive compared to other anti-perspirants. The difference between paying £7.00 for an anti-perspirant or paying around £2.00 is that PerspireX really does stop you from sweating.
PerspireX (as ... ...Now that is amazing.
PerspireX needs to be applied at night as the sweat glands produce less sweat at night, which makes the anti-perspirant more effective. In the morning you wash it off and it doesn’t need to be re-applied for another 3 days or so, as PerspireX leaves a film of anti-perspirant on your armpits. It may seem strange but even after washing your armpits, they still seem to be dry! If there is one piece of advice that you should take ...

Advantages: No more wet patches, wear any clothes you want! Disadvantages: Use sparingly - can cause itching.
I have been using PerspireX for almost 2 years now and would highly recommend it for anyone with a perspiration problem.
A couple of years ago I was preparing for my forthcoming wedding in Jamaica and was trying on my wedding dress for a fitting with the help of my 25 year old daughter. It wasn’t a particularly hot day (January) but the sweat from my underarms was running down the side of my body (not a nice thing to think of but anyone with ... ...my underarms!
To use PerspireX at first it needs to be applied for 2 to 3 days, at night before you go to bed. Wash and dry the area thoroughly and apply sparingly. By sparingly it means not a lot otherwise itchiness will be felt. Wash off in the morning. You should not use on broken or wet skin, therefore do not shave for 48 hours before applying. Once the first 2/3 days have passed you only need apply it 2 to 3 times a week. (I now only apply ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Foul smell, didn't work, caused irritation
...So when I saw perspirex I thought I would give it a go. It contained Aluminium chloride, but it wasn't as much as is in the Driclor so I thought it might not be AS effective but it would be worth it if my sweating was reduced without all the irritation, and how wrong could I be?
I paid around £6 for a smaller than average size bottle of this deodorant (I'm not sure exactly what size it is, I think about 20ml). The instructions were easy to follow. ... ...to the letter but the Perspirex was a great disappointment.
The perspirex had an awful chemical smell with it. And straight away I started to experience that familiar itching. And no amount of scratching or creams would stop it, even after I washed it off. I perservered for a week but I saw no improvement in my sweating. My armpits just got increasingly itchy, sore and red. I'd had enough by this point so I gave up.
I definately wouldn't recommend ...

Advantages: No more problem wetness or embarrasing wet patches on clothes Disadvantages: Can cause itching if too much used.
PerspireX is the perfect solution for anyone who has an underarm perspiration problem. I have been using this product for 4 years now and wouldn't use anything else. I have recommended it to friends and family and they are so pleased to have been told about it.
When I first started using it, the product wasn't widely available. I found it in a small chemist shop but you can now purchase in supermarkets.
The product has to be applied at night. Do ... ...Wash first and dry thoroughly. Apply sparingly and by that I mean sparingly!!!! If too much is applied then you will encounter itchiness and irritation under the arms. Let the solution dry and then go to bed. In the morning wash the solution off. Deodarant or Anti-perspirant is no longer needed.
On first use it is recommended that you do this procedure for a couple of consecutive days and for a start to use it 2/3 times a week. I now only use it ...

Advantages: Used at night so no smell in the day, dries under-arms, prevents body odour. Disadvantages: Chemical smell, irritating on under-arms, doesnt work straight-away.
I bought this product one month ago when I found the hot weather, along with problems with anxeity, caused me to sweat noticably. I would have to plan all my outfits accordingly making sure I did not wear light coloured clothes that would show how much I was sweating. Though this product is quite irritating on the skin when first used and has an unplesant smell it is well worth it the day after as it makes a substantial difference. You do need to ... ...I used it, the better my problem got. For £6.99 I thought it was a little expensive, especially with the size of the bottle being much smaller than the size of the box but all-in-all I thought this product worked well and I would definatley recommend it to anyone who has problems with sweating and body odour. ...

Advantages: value for money, effective, good range of scents,0%ETOH(can cause side effects via skin absorption ) Disadvantages: Would be good if could produce hyopallergenic and butane free alternative
I found this to be a good overall product. It comes in good range of scents (about 5, such as cucumber fresh)and
I found that it keeps presperation at bay by using it X2 a day (moderately active). It claims 24hr protection and I would assume this is for its anti-perspirant effect rather than moisturisation.I suppose it would be truer to the claim for someone doing light activity over a 24hr period. However,no (scientific)evidence is provided for this claim.I did not have any adverse reactions. It is nicely packaged of course but that does'nt distract from it being an effective anti-perspirant.It is often on discounted/2 for 1 deals which I feel makes it a cost-effective purchase. It is also widely available in all major cosmetic department stores as well as local pharmacies.I obtained mine in Boots. ...

1: Buying
Welcome to my review. Normally, the deodrant that i would pick up every week or two from my local supermarket would be a good old bottle from the LYNX range. However, taking a slow stroll down the aisle on a VERY hot day, i noticed a bright green bottle on the top shelf. I reached to get it and read the front;
Ben Sherman Anti Persipirant - Drop Dead Dry - Who gives a shirt.
Which made me laugh to myself, so i rotated the tin around and read the text on the back. Instead of all scientific words and explanations, as used on LYNX tins one of the points mentioned on the tin was "Day long elimination of pooey odour", and "Dry as a dead ...

Advantages: Very refreshing smell Disadvantages: Nothing really
I am normally a frequent user of Lynx roll-ons, but after seeing Xtreme Sport recently in our local drugstore, I thought I'd give it a try. I expected it to be sub-standard to Lynx in terms of quality, but was pleasantly surprised to find it superior.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Xtreme Sport roll-on is made by Right Guard (Gillette). It comes in a small 50ml grey plastic bottle, which may not be as sleek and aestethically sophisticated as a Lynx bottle, but is still quite alluring. The words Xtreme and Sport appear in bright orange lettering against a black background, and a blue "X" shimmers subtly in the background.
Xtreme Sport is not just a deodorant, but also an anti-perspirant. It therefore not only makes you smell nice but prevents unnecessary perspiration. Being a roll-on, it is also very easy to apply, but be careful not ...
