SnuggleSafe Micro fibre pet towel.
Review of SnuggleSafe micro fibre towel by RICLEN

Advantages: Super absorbent, great for soaking up wet muddy paws
Disadvantages: Standard size is only OK for smaller animals.Use Big Dog towel size for Labrador size pets.

...and behold, whilst buying a SnuggleSafe heatpad at: www.snugglesafe.co.uk I saw that they do this micro fibre towel for pets. It arrived in a couple of days and because we have had a lot of wet weather recently, I had plenty opportunity to try it out. What a great pet product!! You don't need to buff your pet down, you just wrap the towel around it and presto your dog is totally dry. No fuzziness or hairs/water flying around. The dog doesn't ever ...
...any, because all the water soaks up in the towel. It is so good I am going to get one for my own use. It really cuts down on dring times. The standard size is £7.99 and the large one is £10.99 from www.snugglesafe.co.uk or you can search around other pet websites for the same product. This product is a must for any wet pet, large or small. ... Read review

anti inflamatory
Review of Metacam by danniell

Advantages: great relief
Disadvantages: none

Metacam is an oral suspension non steroid anti inflamatary for dogs. It is used to reduce the swelling, inflamation and pain in muscular skeletal disorders. This medication contains meloxicam and sodium benzoate so is unsuitable for dogs who are allergict to these ingredients, it has also never been used on a pregnant, lactating or a dog less than 6 weeks old so is advised not to use as the effects are unknown. To use this you have a dropper on ...
...smaller dog and a syringe is provided for giving to larger dogs as the dosage depends on weight of the dog so you will need to know the weight of your dog in kg before giving this medication. Giving this is very simple as it is oral so you can either put it in your dogs food or put it steight into your dogs mouth, i personally put it streight into my dogs mouth as this was the easiest way of me knowing he had had it. The initial dose of the medication ... Read review

'Go For A Wee Wee'
Review of Dog Toilet Training by daylehall

Advantages: proper toilet training will be remembered for life, clean carpets
Disadvantages: mess to clean up for 1st few weeks, interupted sleep to begin with

...don't want to make your dog fat with treats. Your puppy will associate the praise / treat with going to the toilet in the right place and will very quickly begin to learn that it will be rewarded with praise every time it goes to the loo in the right place. NEWSPAPER Many people like to put newspaper down to ensure that carpets or flooring are not ruined. Personally I do not like this method as sometimes the puppy can associate the newspaper with ...
...for a wee (while your dog is very young). I think it is a good idea to leave your dog in just one room overnight. This is because, if you give your puppy the run of the house, it could wee anywhere and you might not necessarily notice as it could dry before you realise what your puppy has done. At least with one room, you can check the floor easily to see if your toilet training is working. SIGNS MY PUPPY MY NEED THE TOILET The signs a puppy may ... Read review

Moby's Amazing Story
Review of Coping with a Pet's Amputation by rosehall

Advantages: in my case, stopped growth spreading further into the body, therfore prolonging the life of Moby
Disadvantages: emotionally draining for the owner, expensive operation, a lot of after care involved

Hi, I wanted to tell you my story about my amazing beautiful Border Collie Moby who is now 4 yrs old and lives with 2 other Border Collies. I have had Moby since he was 11 weeks old and is the most handsome loving slate Merle with bright blue eyes that makes him look a bit like a wolf! He was attacked when he was about 3 months old. Moby was walking in a wood with us. Unbeknown to us, a back gate had been left open on a neighbour's house and a ...
...came out towards Moby. Moby, being terrified tried to escape from the large dog who was biting him and he tried to get away into a garden where another 3 dogs also had a go at him. He was dragged by one of his legs underneath the gate of the house next door by the three dogs. There was much barking, growling and screaming. We were terrified and thought Moby was going to be killed. Moby had various superficial bites and an injured, mauled left leg ... Read review

Barking mad or deaf
Review of Pet Behavioural Problems by MAllen400

Advantages: it worked but not needed
Disadvantages: better understanding

My dog is 14 years old and although I have heard of the saying "you cannot teach old dogs new tricks" I knew we had to do something when he suddenly started barking a lot. My daughter had just had a baby and they are living with us and although my dog can be trusted, as far as any dog can be, with the baby he started barking a lot around her. My husband and son would say sternly stop barking which didnt do so good as my putting up my index finger ...
...and found just the thing. The Bark Collar Trainer is an ultrasonic training device that can help to reduce nuisance barking in your dog. It costs £19.99 plus postage and packaging but I thought that it would be worth it if it works. What it is is a collar which you attach a small black box to about the length of your thumb and about 1" thick. It runs by battery which comes supplied with it. The aim is that you put it on the dog and when he barks ... Read review
