K9 for Canine Lovers
Advantages: Interesting articles Disadvantages: not readily available
K9 Magazine was launched in 2001. It is a quarterly magazine for dog lovers and, unlike a lot of other publications of the same kind, is not aimed mainly at the ‘expert’ dog owner and breeder but at all owners and lovers of dogs. It’s not a magazine that is readily available at all newsagents and probably most readers subscribe directly. However, it IS sold through some newsagents, though according to the editor, Ryan O’Meara, the larger chains are ... ...regular features are: Your K9 Stars - which is a page for photos of readers’ dogs, Breed Profile and Charity Profile (both self-explanatory), .Com Dogs - which is an advertising section showing websites for dog related products. This is only a very limited selection of the regular articles to be found in this magazine. I have to say that I have found new items of interest every time I’ve picked it up.
One of the most interesting things is the amount ...

Cat World TV, i-mag and magazine
Advantages: Everything cat related in one place - a magazine, an i-mag and TV Disadvantages: None really you just need time to read
If you are cat lover you can wallow in as much information as you could possibly want with the Cat World range of products. Cat World started out over 20 years ago as a magazine and it is still going strong in that format with many regular subscribers and loads of occasional readers who pick up the glossy magazine at newsagents or supermarkets.
CAT WORLD TV
Recently Cat World have introduced a couple of new developments recognising the expansion ... ...these is Cat World TV. This was launched a couple of weeks ago and is currently free to view (I am not sure how long this offer will last). Cat World TV is a series of short interviews on film, with leading people in the cat arena, providing advice on breeding, health, cat care and general interest. It has to be said that the skills of the interviewers and the interviewees leave much scope for improvement, but it is early days yet, and one hopes ...

The Cat - Cats Protection League
Advantages: Very informative and provides money for cats protection Disadvantages: None
...about how to care for your cat. Different features each month help you to learn new things about cats and kittens. There are plenty of stories of how Cats Protection have rescued cats and brought them back from near death experiences. To give you an idea of what is included in The Cat this quarter it is focusing on the advantages of microchipping your cat in case it is lost and what to do if your kitty has wandered off and you can't find her.
They ... ...where the branches of Cats Protection around the country are.
This magazine is packed with cute photos of cats and lots of reader letters telling stories about what their cat has been up to.
I feel it is well worth the subscription not only because it helps provide for cats nationwide (and it has provided a new adoption centre near Gatwick) but because it gives you an insight to what cats do, what they need and how you can provide that.
Unfortunately ...
