Advantages: Enjoyable, Funny, Easy-read Disadvantages: Drawn out in places, Expensive
...Peter Kay’s autobiography provided me with many firsts; the first autobiography I managed to finish, the first time I was able to read for two hours straight without being distracted and the first book I found myself laughing out loud, literally. I guess it is quite shocking that by the age of 19 I still hadn’t read an autobiography from cover to cover but I usually lose interest and pick up another. So kudos to Mr. Kay if he ever comes across this review, you achieved the unimaginable.
If you’ve never heard of Peter Kay before, he is a Bolton-born comedian who has achieved success through both stand up and various television programmes of which some he actually directed and wrote himself, ‘That Peter Kay Thing’ ‘Max and Paddy’s Road To Nowhere’ and BAFTA-winning ‘Phoenix Nights’ are to name but a few. Advantages: Well written, nice pictures included, interesting read Disadvantages: Not challenging reading but it isnt expected really!

...Introduction
Dorothy L Sayers, famous for whodunnits, was crowned as one of the Queens of Crime, along with Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh. Although some of her books have been televised in relatively recent years, she no longer seems to be quite as well-known as Agatha Christie. However, as a fan of crime fiction, I have always loved her books and would like to see them more appreciated. The main detective in her books is Lord Peter Wimsey, who is not a policeman, but rather a private sleuth who also happens to be very high-bred and wealthy.
The author
Dorothy L Sayers was born in 1893 and her father was headmaster at Christchurch Cathedral School. She studied at Oxford University, where she got a First in modern languages. She later worked for a publishing company and began writing in 1923. In later life, she taught herself...
