Advantages: very handy, easy to use quickly, to the point Disadvantages: none that I could find
...This book is invaluable for guinea pig owners as it gives you ideas that can help your pet before you get to the vet's and will tell you if the condition even warrants a trip to the vets.
I feel a lot better treating my pets in a natural way and this book gives solutions that can work alone or along conventional medicine. Most of the items mentioned can be bought at local supermarkets and are easy to find and use.
PeterGurney spent the last part of his life sharing his flat with over 70 guineas and had long protested for Guinea rights and improved care for these creatures. As such you know you will be able to trust it and use treatments safely...

PeterGurney very sadly passed away not so very long ago - and the Guinea Pigs lost a champion. Mr Gurney has a vast knowledge base and years of experience in keeping Guinea Pigs - and it shows. His writing style is easy to understand, laced with humour and the book is easy to navigate when you're hurriedly looking for something specific.
The book is hardback (wipe clean, yay!) and consists of some 48 or so pages, dealing with topics such as "Getting it there" - administering medicines to piggies, individual pages dedicated to ear/eye/foot/digestive problems etc. There are guidelines on feeding...
