I bought one of these pies recently from MAKRO and it was awful. The fancy pattern on the top of the pie looked good and the wrapper that it came in looked quite traditional. I put the pie in the oven for the required time on the wrapper and then tucked in. The pastry was like eating cardboard and the filling was rancid. The pie was well within the use by date but left a horrible after taste in my mouth. I have seen a lot of Peters Pies at other supermarkets quite a lot but have never previously tried one due to the cheap prices that are charged. As they say, you get what you pay for. I love my pies but can honestly say that this is the worst pie I have ever tried and I only managed to eat around a third of it.

sounds rather vile. Good thing I do not eat red meat. Why was the filling vile? i take it the quality of beef was alcking or was it padded out with junk??
