Pets at Home Scented Poop Bags

I have a chocolate Labrador called Josh and you have probably heard me talk of him in other reviews before now. Josh is now 11 years old and still pretty much acts like a puppy still! I only really get a few bots from Pets at Home as I do think they over price items way to much.

My Findings:

One of my hates is animal owners who do not clean up their mess, I have been walking with my dog and see people freely let there dog defecate on fields/paths/walkways etc then just walk off! Now I have metal plates in my legs and it really hurts me to bend and clean it up but I still do!

I only ever purchased these once to use up a voucher I had and in all honesty I wouldn’t really buy them again. They come in a bag where you rip open the top to pull the poop bags out, I have a little clip box that attaches to Joshes collar for him to carry his own bags.

If you have ever used nappy sacks they look just like them but just feel slightly thicker. Now for the gross bit to clear your dogs/animals mess up you have turn the bag inside out and use your hand then hold it over your hand. Not a nice feeling really but at least you don’t have to actually touch your dog’s poo.

There have been no breakages when I have used the bags, they have held well while I have scoop Josh’s mess up. The handles on the bags tie well and stay tied while I have to carry it and put in a mess bin over the park or where ever I am.

Now I have never been a fan of lavender and doubt I ever will, these bags have been designed to smell like lavender in order to mask the smell. I personally think it does the job well and soon as Josh’s mess is wrapped up all I can smell is an artificial scent of lavender which is better than the other I guess.

I don’t just use bags when I’m walking Josh I always use them when cleaning up any mess he may have done in my garden. Then I have a black bin bag there placed in and at the end of the week put out ready for the bin men. I did notice that these bags seem to hold the smell for a couple of days but then the dog odor seems to take its ownership back!

In my opinion I don’t really think they are worth there money when you can buy a pack of 200 scented nappy sacks from the pound shop that do just as a good job. The bags are made from polythene, it doesn’t state if they are made from biodegradable polythene or just normal polythene which I do hope not!

As this is a Pets at Home own you can only purchase these from one of there stores or via there online shop costing £2.49 for 50 bags.

Overall:

Personally I don’t really think these bags are worth there money the fragrance on the bag doesn’t last long and you can get a better deal buying nappy sacks and the bonus for me they don’t smell of lavender!
