    Advantages Advantages Everything for your pet under one roof

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be expensive if you don't buy in bulk.

    While I do not own any larger pets, such as dogs or cats, I do have a reasonably large number of smaller pets, who I love dearly and need to provide food and bedding for. My guinea pigs are hungry little whatsits and along with the hamster they go through an incredible amount of wood shavings in a week. Then I have the budgies to provide for, they really enjoy their seed, and hopefully, very soon there'll be a new addition to the family in the form of a cockatiel. What with all these supplies to get, and preparing for the new arrival, I've been spending quite a lot of time in Pets at Home ... more

    Advantages Advantages Excellent selection of products, superb range of food, toys and general accessories, most staff seem to know what they're talking about

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Fish selection is in poor condition generally. Not willing to take any responsibility for this.

    (Updates found to the end of this review) Well, where to start? I used to absolutely love Pets at Home. Having been an animal lover all my life I was delighted when Pets at Home first landed here in the UK back in 1991 (after the demise of the PetsMart stores throughout the country). The store practically has everything any pet owner could ever need. They stock all necessary (and luxury) items for out canine, feline, feathered, furry and fishy friends. Many stores also used to stock items for our reptilian friends but Pets at Home appear to have ceased this throughout the UK some years back ... more

    Advantages Advantages Helpful staff, frequent special offers, wide range of products on offer, pets are allowed in store

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Live animals kept in small spaces together when this does not always suit them I'm sure.

    The store I have two stores fairly local to where I live, one in Harlow & one in Waltham Abbey, and visit both fairly frequently being the 'parent' to a few different pets now. Both of these stores have different sizes available to them and therefore stock different products and different amounts of the products. I usually visit the Waltham Abbey store if I am wanting lots of advice on pets or products and the Harlow store if I am wanting to stock up on pet food, treats, toys and the like.     Today we our regular monthly visit to our pets at home superstore to buy all the pets there monthly food, accessories, grooming, medication and treats. The store itself that I go to visit is in Newport. It is located in Maesglas Retail Park, and has great parking facilities for you to park the car close to the store for convenience, especially when you are buying in bulk as we do. I must give this store its own immediate credit, as it is always clean and well maintained both outside and in store.     Well most of you know me by now, I am called Pudsey, she who must be obeyed called me after the Pudsey bear as she thought I was so cute, Over to you James, Hiya my name is James and together we want to tell you about our favourite store Pets at home. Pudsey will take you through the layout and the dog section and I will take you through the cat sections and we will fight for the rest, woof woof, miaow....
