Advantages Economical, looks good

Disadvantages I have probs with the seats

The Peugeot 206 is one of the most popular cars on the road. I can understand this, they’re nice cars, relatively cheap, and have low insurance. They also have good fuel consumption figures. The co2 emissions for mine are 145, which mean that it’s in the lowest car tax brackets.

I have recently bought my 2nd 1.1 206. Overall, I think these cars both look good and are good to drive.

My new one is the 1.1 Ltd Edition fever, which I bought for just under £8k, which came with a year's free insurance. It also came with electric windows, front fog lights, power steering & a CD player as standard. It also has metallic paint, and body coloured bumpers and wing mirrors as standard.

I found with my other one, it could be unresponsive, because of the small engine. However, it seems to have been fixed with the newer model, as I find it very nippy and easy to run around in. It takes a while to accelerate, but it holds speed well, and is good both in the town and on the motorway. It is worth bearing in mind that the older models are less responsive, due to the small engines.

For me personally, the car is roomy & I love the interior. I like the extras like the on board computer which tells you if the door is open etc, and I like the gadgets and bits that comes with the car. The windscreen wipers are also a nice touch - they work after the engine is switched off, so you can adjust them, say if you've switched the engine off while the wiper is halfway up the window. The car also beeps at you whenever you hit the reserve tank of petrol.

I only have a few minor complaints about this car. I find the seats hard to manoeuver sometimes. They seem to stick with me sometimes, or I find them hard to adjust to suit my height. I also managed to end up with the seat flying backwards while I was moving off one day, meaning that I couldn't even reach the pedals! This is a slight safety hazard, but this that could just have been with my own individual cars. The electric window controls could also be in a better place, but I’ve gotten used to this. Reverse can also be a problem to find, but eventually I do manage to get the car into reverse.

Another problem with the car is that the pedals are very close together. This isn't a problem for me, as I have small feet, but for those with bigger feet, it could be a problem.

I would recommend this car. It's easy to tax, fuel & insure. They also relatively cheap and hold their value well. I've had 3 now, & very impressed with all 3 of them. They're relatively small cars, but hold 4 adults comfortably, and have a surprisingly big boot, and the rear seats are split and fold down for extra boot space if required.

These are also sturdy and safe cars, and have performed well in most crash tests.

Security wise, most 206's also come with engine immobilisers as standard.

They are very popular cars & I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't like the shape of the 206, or is unimpressed with mine. They're also a safe car & are a good all round cars. Expect to pay around £110 for a basic service, although a paid service isn't essential until 20,000 miles.

I have done 7000 miles, with no problems, and love this car!
