"Not the quickest of cars but it's serving me well!"

I bought my Peugeot 206 in 2008 with only 7000 miles on the clock. I have it in black which i think looks very nice on this car, i'm not exactly a whizz with cars so i am one that tends to look at the cosmetic side of things before i dig deeper into any techincal parts. So i was first attracted to this car because of the way it looked, i thought it had a stylish little sporty look about it and since i was 18 years old it suited me to a tee i thought. I bought the 5 door because it is just so much easier fo getting in and out of if you are carrying passengers.

I have now had the car for 2 years and the mileage is now 25,000 and i'm yet to encounter any problems. It's an 05 plate by the way. The car comes with a manufacturer fitted audio system which plays CD & the radio and i've found it works very well, you can turn it up very loud and the speakers don't crackle or anything either which is good if you like to blast your music! There are controls on the stalks by the steering wheel too which allow you to skip tracks and switch between CD to radio which is handy. There's a digital display on the dashboard which you can set to tell you the date, time, temperature whatever you fancy! If one of your car doors is open when you switch the engine on, the digital display will also have writing scroll across it to tell you witch door is open which is handy. The car also beeps to alert you of this, it also beeps if you try to get out of your car with the keys still in the ignition or if you leave your lights on, so it would be hard for your battery to die since the 206 is good at warning you of these things!

Many people perceive the 206 to be quite a small car which would make it difficult to carry much in it, but i would have to disagree as the amount of shopping i can fit into it is unbelievable! Space has never been an issue and even with my sons car seat in the back and pram in the boot i can still get a lot of shopping in. My passengers have plenty of leg room too. As the driver you can also adjust the height of your seat as well as how far forward or back you have it from the pedals. The air con system in the car is good too and it warms up fairly quickly in the winter and clears the windows well. There is a wiper and cleaner for the rear window too which is handy.

The button to turn on the Hazard lights is on the dashboard in front of the digital display and next to it is a button you can press that locks all the doors at once. There is also a child lock option, and the car comes with central locking.

I have had no problems with my engine or any of the other mechanicals and the oil & water etc. is easy to change, even for me! The bonnet is also easy to pop open, there is a lever under the dashboard where the front passenger seat is.

In terms of quickness, this car isn't the fastest but it is by no means slow, if you wanted it can get up to 120 mph at a push. It is a nice car to drive and it's nice to be a passenger in too as it's not bumpy it's very smooth and changes gear nicely. It's also quite good on fuel and costs about £40 to fill the tank.

I do reccomend this car, it's been very reliable and looks nice on the road.

The quickness of a car doesn't just mean how fast you can get up to in it and break the national speed limit, what i mean when referring to the quickness of this car is how quickly it can get from 0-30 mph for example, i hope you understand what i mean x

just an observation, but I wonder why people would see "not the quickest of cars" as a disadvantage ? - With a 30mph Urban speed limit and 60 -70mph national speed limit in the UK - It shouldn't really make any difference at all.
