I remember the call so well , I was excited & eager to pick up the car, especially after waiting 6 weeks since placing the order. Problems with peugeot 206 gti

Advantages: superb car you feel safe
Disadvantages: see my bad points

ive owned a peugeot 206 gti Sp for 9 months on a t registration Good points Super engine, pulls very strongly from low revs with a noticeable boost above 4000 rpm, very strong but smooth acceleration right up to redline. Overtaking is no problem in any gear, changing down is not required unless showing off. Throttle response is instant both on and off. Around town the engine pulls very smoothly, and its all to easy to find yourself breaking the local ...
...fifth is a little to tall for town work, it is a very usable gear on the open road and not just an overdrive. The action of the gear stick is not the smoothest I have used, and I personally like a heavier spring feel through the gate, but the positive notch into position is handy when trying hard so you don't make a fool of yourself away from the lights. The clutch pedal is very neutral in feel, and enables quick changes without fuss, beware the ...

...equivalent. Im not sure that peugeot should even have tried to bring out a car under the 20# genre after their exceeedingly popular 205 model but, they did anyway and also brought their successful diesel along with it! The Americans and the Australians have a simple recipe for producing a car with decent performance and plenty of mid-range 'oomph'. They work on the principle of 'there ain't no substitute for cubic inches' and drop in the biggest ...
...to excellent effect by Peugeot here in Europe when creating the diesel versions of its small hatchbacks. Back in the '80s, the French company developed a strongly performing yet frugal 205 by substituting a 1.8 diesel for the 1.1-litre petrol engine. When they added a turbocharger a few years later, the resulting 205 D Turbo was the closest you could get to a 'diesel 205 GTi'. The 206, spiritual successor to the 205, also gets the big-diesel-in-small-car ...

My PUG 206 2.0 L HDI

Advantages: Good engine and good looks
Disadvantages: Plastic interior

...I have has 5 spoke Peugeot alloy wheels. These give the PUG a sporty look and add to the overall appeal of the car. Other PUG's that don't have the alloys don't compare in terms of aesthetics in my opinion. I think that all 2.0 L versions come with spot lights at the front of the car which is a good thing as they certainly help to widen the beam of light on the road during foggy conditions. Also, they draw attention from fellow drivers and I have ...
...Internally, the dash board is primarily plastic which I don't mind as it is easy to keep clean. Luckily it is also black which ties in nicely with the external dιcor. They display lights are orange and contrasts well during dark conditions for optimal viewing of speed etc. Driving I love to drive my PUG. Compared to my old fiesta this feels like how I would imagine an Aston Martin drives. The car is smooth at all speeds in all gears and there is ...

Real Life GTi Test

Advantages: Finess, Fun, practicality and Cheeky good looks
Disadvantages: Customer care only

I recently bought a X registration "206 GTi and have now found it to be one of the most rewarding cars to own, drive and show off! bought from new, after importing in from Holland the 2001 spec GTi includes minor trim differences, only noticable to the best trained, and slightly more usable features as three rear head rests, which are both comfortable to use (unlike the front) and add that little something to the car to give it more of the grown ...
...It has now done 2500 miles in just under two months, and i can honestly say that it is the best car i have come close to owning. performance is more then adequate, giving 0-60 times of around 7.5 and a hefty top speed of 132mph. At the same time as this, peugeots classic combination of putting an oversized engine in a small car creates fun in ample amounts. no problems of any significance, and no rattles at all make this little car feel very grown ...

Great car

Advantages: fast, good looking
Disadvantages: expensive insurance and petrol

...has just been given a Peugeot 206 gti as a company car, and it's just awesome. It looks really classy than the 306 xsi, even a bit more sporty. When we went for a drive in it, it was so smooth over the bumps and round the corners equally as good. It accelerates really quickly and on the motorway it's just brilliant. Wow...the buzz you get. It makes you feel rather special, you know that you have a car that looks just as good as it drives. Apparently, ...
...the standard things of the Peugeot cars;  six Cd changer  Air conditioning  Automatic windscreen wipers  Safety locks etc You can't even tell its a convertible, its a pity the weather hasn't been that good because it looks great with the hood off. On 'Top Gear' it was calculated it takes 22 seconds to take the hood off, which isn't that bad. My mates dad's car is blue, compared to our 306xsi cherry red, it does ...

Peugeot 206cc 2.0

Advantages: Nice car, delight to drive, fun
Disadvantages: boot mesh has to be engaged

My first surprise was a dealer let a 17 year old that passed his test 2 weeks ago, drive an 05 plate 2.0 litre Peugeot 206cc. Given I look older, and he didn't check the date of birth on my license, but I am glad as it really was a delight to drive. Room in the back is hugely limited, although for short journeys it would be acceptable, especially considering the type of car. The 2.0litre engine provides a nice amount of power and its a nice nippy car, comfortably leather seats, the roof reclines easily (although I will admit this is the first convertible I have ever been in so it may have been easy or hard compared to others). The one disappointment with the car with regards to the roof, is, in the boot there is a wire mesh which needs to be pulled across the boot (obviously to protect luggage) but if this is not pulled across ...

Peugeot 206cc 2.0L

Advantages: A convertable in disguise! Two cars in one.
Disadvantages: Minor cosmetic problems, poor aftersales service

As soon as I purchased my first soft-top - I was hooked. On looking for my nice new car last year I hadn't really thought about this one. I didn't initially like the look of it (thought it looked back-to-front), but my other half was insistant that I took a test drive. I drove it - I loved it. The hard roof that folds down into the spacious boot is a great way to entertain the kids! I went for the 2 litre, with red and black leather trim (slighly regreting that option now). There is the choice of having the standard lights, or the rounded ones, and there are many other extras. However, after about 3 months, I started to have some minor problems with the car. The paint came off the plastic button that you press to bring the roof down, the wind-breaker was broken on delivery, and the carpet kept coming away from the sides. Having ...

Peugeut 206cc 2.0 - The drive of your life??

Advantages: The roof - excellent on sunny days
Disadvantages: Leaks

I have owned my Peugeot 206cc 2.0 for eighteen months and so i've had plenty of time to get to know my car. Before i had a 1litre Volkswagen Polo, so i wanted something a bit more stylish and with a bit of a kick. The Peugeot 206cc has delivered that. I started looking for a new car, knowing i wanted a convertable and so i was looking for something attractive and modern but at a decent price. After looking at cars matching my criteria, i found the Peugeot 206cc was a step ahead of the rest of the field. So i now had to pick my model. I got the 2.0 litre model as i wanted to experience a new form of power. This i got. The car does 0-60 in just over 9 seconds, which is quick enough for any normal day to day driver. My 2.0litre model had the full works; air con, leather seats, power steering, c.d. player etc... and i'd recomend ...
