Peugeot 206 CC 1.6

Let me set the scene! We went on holiday for the weekend (me and my family) to Guernsey. Ok granted its possibly not the hottest holiday hotspot in the world, but being in the middle of a house renovation project and not having had a holiday in over 18 months, we were all desperate to get away…to anywhere! The 206CC 1.6 16v Allure....Isn't it beautiful!?....well.....yes!! I bought mine only three weeks ago, and I'm impressed. Well I suppose I should be, I'm only 20 years old and I'm in a £16k convertible. It's black with black and red leather interior.....it's lovely! Ok where do I start, well firstly the exterior. Its gorgeous metallic paint, no matter what colour you choose will always be turning heads as you drive down the high street. I really liked this car when I test drove it albeit that it was smaller that the car I was driving at the time, it was comfortable, very nippy, easy to park and looked great with the top off (I hadnt at that point drove it with the top down). The inside was very compact and I did feel a little clostrophobic at first as my car at the time was a mazda 323 and seemed to have more space. I liked the thought that the car was alarmed and had a deadlock which really is a comfort this day in age. I have had my Peugeot 206 CC for approximately 2 years now and overall I am very satisfied with it. I have the 1.6 16v allure model. This comes with alloys and leather interior as standard, which I think complements the overall look of the car and having seen the models without the alloy wheels, I think that it's a nice finishing touch. The interior is quite roomy at the front, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the back! I did actually purchase the car knowing this in advance and therefore was not a problem for me. I've had my 206cc for almost two years now, and the only thing I would change it for is another one! I've owned a couple of Peugeots, but this has been the most fun. The 206 cc is supposed to be a 2+ 2 passengers (four seater) car, but to sit in the back you either have to be very small or an expert in yoga. The back seats are fine for short journeys, but anything longer than half an hour and say goodbye to the feeling in your legs. That said, they are still back seats, something you don't get in it's equivelants like the Mazda MX5, the MGF and Mercedez SLK. The boot is supprisingly spacious ... more
