I have had my Peugeot 206 CC for approximately 2 years now and overall I am very satisfied with it. I have the 1.6 16v allure model. This comes with alloys and leather interior as standard, which I think complements the overall look of the car and having seen the models without the alloy wheels, I think that it's a nice finishing touch. The interior is quite roomy at the front, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the back! I did actually purchase the car knowing this in advance and therefore was not a problem for me. Overall, I think that the styling inside the car is very good, it looks expensive, not plastic and cheap.

This model comes with full electrics, A/C, immobiliser, alarm, cd, RDS radio, side and twin airbags all as standard. You can work the radio/cd by using a stalk similar to an indicator next to the steering wheel which is a nice touch too!

The car has a top speed of 120mph, reaching 0-60mph in 11 seconds and gives you approx 40 miles to the gallon. I personally have found the fuel consumption to be a lot more than my previous car which was a Vauxhall Tigra. I have been told that the A/C can cause you to guzzle more petrol so I rarely use that now, but hey, who needs it when the roof comes off?!….which leads me onto the best bit..the roof! The roof is operated by a switch near to the hand brake. You flick the switch and keep it depressed until you hear a beep, it is then safe to let go. I think it takes about 20 seconds for the roof to come off , which is pretty quick, especially if you get caught in a shower and need to get it back on quickly!! The roof folds away into the boot very neatly and you only have to lift your finger! I have really enjoyed driving around with the roof off this summer, it's a great feeling!!

Moving back onto the more practical side of things!…the boot space is very good when your roof is on, it gets a bit cramped when you've got the top down, but I suppose that's to be expected. Inside the boot is a divider which pulls down and hooks into place, this is to prevent you from placing any large items in the boot, forgetting about them and then flicking the switch to take the roof off, squashing it in the process!! A clever little safety gimmick!

The car is very nice to drive, but can get noisy when the roof is on. I think this is due to the mechanism which controls the roof. As you drive over bumps is can rattle quite a bit. More often then not I will put the stereo on and you don't notice it then but it can be a bit irritating. The gears are very smooth and its very nippy with a lot of power. I have been told that it does not feel as powerful as other 1.6 16v cars as it carries extra weight within the roof, approx 50kg apparently, but I have never driven another 1.6 car so can't comment! I am very satisfied with the way in which it handles though, which is the main thing!!

I haven't had any problems what so ever with this car. So far it has been very reliable and has not let me down. I would recommend this car to someone who wants to have fun when driving! Someone who doesn't need to fit passengers in the back!!
