I bought a Peugeaot 206cc about 2 years ago now as I wanted something stylish yet cheap.

When i first got the car i couln't be happier driving round with the roof down in glorious sunshire - it was brilliant.

I bought the card second hand privately as it was cheaper, about a month after owning the car i noticed the floor behind the passenger seat was soaked, next time it rained i went to have a look and the roof was leaking quite badly.

I took the card to a garage who quoted me just £800 for 3 seals which needed replacing! I shopped around and found a garage that would do it for £600, although still expensive it needed doing. All the seals were fitted and I got the car back - still leaking. The garage had numerous attempts at solving the problem and then suggested a just drop it into peugeot.

I booked it in, and they told me all all the seals the garade had fitted were ok but the last one (the only one which hadnt been replaced needed doing) Which just so happened to be to most expensive. Very annoyed I accepted this and told them to get on with the work, paying out about £300 for the seal and labour.

I got the car back and the next time it rained it soaked the whole car - even the front passenger and driver seats. Absolutly fumming I got my partner the phone the garage as I have a tendancy to just accept what they say rather than have a go. I dropped the car back off and they told me the 3 seals the other garage had fitted actually needed re-doing. However you couldnt take the seals off and put them back on, you had to buy all new seals. So this was another £600.

At this point im pretty much skint, and annoyed. My car went in a few more times after that. In the end they put a glue substance on the window to make a seal when door is shut and said when it wears off just bring it back and we will put some more on. As you can imagine I was fuming, but really could not be bothered with the problem any more.

I would not recommend this car to anyone, The garage actually did their best to sort it out and were always polite and as helpful as possible - its just the way the car is designed and now after some research it is quite a common fault that even peugeot have trouble fixing.

I had an old Peugeot 106 for 10 years and luckily I never had any real problems. How annoying though.
