the female perspective to should i buy one 14 of 14 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Spacious small car, very easy handling, good on the petrol, nice little run around

Disadvantages reputation as a lads car, quite common and easy to loose in a car park

Bought a 306 as my first car. When I was looking, all the guys told me this one or that one. My boyfriend persauded me to get the 306. I'm so glad he did, I wouldn't trade it in. Thought some of the females out there would like the girlie opinion.
Its a spacious small car, very nippy and easy to handle. Despite it's reputation of being a lads car it's very much suited to the female drivers. With power steering it's a doddle to park (yes, even I, a female can reverse park in it!)
Although it's my first car I've been driving for years and find it goes easy on the petrol even in city traffic. It's quite nippy with good acceleration. Copes well with those windy country rodes as well as those tediously long straight motorways.
On the spacious side, it has amble room whether you are tall, short, curvacious or a sloucher. The boot holds a suprising amount.(had a washing machine in mine the other day) The shape of the boot is a bonus as without the parcel shelf you will find it is very deep. Loads of room for the shopping and the parcel shelf is perfect for the cuddly toys or if you are like me the nodding dog and dancing elvis. There is plenty of room in the back for the kiddies or the girl friends for those shopping trips.
Insurance for this little number is reasonable, and parts are dead easy to get. Not that you will need them as this little runner is a bit like the duracell bunny....it just goes on and on.
The only downside is that they are quite popular, so if you have a problem finding your car in big car parks, get a distinctive colour.
Most come with an imobiliser for added security some with other extras.
Despite me advertising the fact it's good for girls you can't get away from the macho appeal. Sporty wee number for the guys out there and a bit of a bloke magnet for the single ladies. As for those women who are spoken for, there is no way any guy will challenge you. (unless he's rich enough to own a sports car.....in which case are you sure you are spoken for!) Any guy would love for their woman to chose the 306, no embarasment when you pick your guy up from the pub or footie (unless he's sick all over it)
Hope the girlie perspective helps make up your mind.
