Hello everybody.
My first ever car was a 1.9diesel Peugeot 306. Now i have a 1.6 Meridian 306.
I first fell in love with them when my next door neighbour bought a light blue 306. It looked brilliant in everyway and from every angle. I got my first 306 1.9Diesel when i was 17. It was a super first car, cheap insurance and tax wasn't too bad either. It had really comfy seats, Electric Windows, Electric Sunroof, 4 Speaker sound system. Remote Central Locking PAS, stereo remote by steering wheel, drivers airbag + many more features. It could sit at 100mph comfortably. The only bad thing i can think of about a diesel 306 is that it sounds like a tractor! I had it for around 6 months before i smashed it up(all fault of my own). I hit a car at around 40mph. Thanks to my great car my passenger and I walked away with no injuries at all. Not even a Scratch.
Now after a lot of working and saving up, I purchased a 2nd hand 1.6Meridian 306. WOW! What a car. Super Quick in comparison to the 1.9D. Features are also better coming with, Elec Windows, Elec mirrors, remote central locking, Air Con, Half leather interior, Alloy wheels, Colour coded bumpers and handles, PAS, Drivers Airbag, Adjustable passenger Airbag (for baby seats in front seat), Rain sensitive window wipers, seat height adjustment, + many many more. I have now modded it with low profile alloy wheels and have lowered it by 40mm. It now sticks to the road like glue! Wouldn't change it for the world. (Maybe a Ferrari) ;). One good thing about lowering a 306, is that you only have to buy 2 springs because it has a torsion bar at the back which can be adjusted to any riding height you choose.
I have only ever had to replace one part of my car, which was the window wipers. This prooves that the car is strong, reliable and great to maintain.
Anyway, I would recommend a 306 to anyone who is looking for a great running, comfy, quick and safe car. Especially a 1.6 Meridian! :D
