I bought this car because my Peugeot 307 previously was to small for my ever incresing family we are at 5 children now (and 3 kittens). This car falls in a strange catagory some say Estate some MPV others a Van lol.
INSURANCE GROUP - 10
ROAD TAX - £104 for 6 months ... ...a false sense but the Peugeot 307SW sticks to the road like a dream.
ABS braking makes life easier and also the Powersteering is so light you hardly feel yourself driving.
Very smooth drive and I must say a real pleasure to drive even with a full load inside be it screaming children or a set of bunk beds lol.
WHAT COMES WITH THE CAR

LOOK AND DESIGN EXTERIOR
The 307 SW(Station Wagon) is very sleek and comes with many great features the design is very smooth a short flat back and long front I purchased mine in black.
It comes as standard with a 3/4 glass roof which has an electronic slide cover and roof bars. The handles are pull lever(silver) and have a very smooth opening mechanism.
It also comes with body coloured bumpers and although not standard I got mine with alloy wheels in a 5 spoke design. The lights are almost cat like and all concealed in one unit giving a very futuristic effect.
A small aeriel extends from the middle at the front and can be easily unscrewed for cleaning purposes. The windscreen is panaramic was very wide and looks fantastic hardly any window framing is displayed when viewing from the front.
LOOK AND DESIGN INTERIOR
The 307 SW has a very smart design inside plain but stylish plain dark grey seats which at the front have pull down armrests for both driver and passenger.
The rear seats can be set in various different postions and lie flat turning the interior almost van like at the back ideal for transporting large items, I have managed to transport bunk beds in mine so plenty of room.
The dash board has a built in CD/Radio with digital display built into the centre top of dashbord and controls low down by ashtray area. The dashboard itself has all the usual displays all dials so less chance of something going digitally wrong. The dash is lit by an orange back light at night which gives a lovely effect whilst out at night.
The panels are fabric matching seats and black plastic and the gears area and dash have chrome surrounds. Great but need to be cleaned very often to keep looking nice.
You can open and close the glass roof with a automatic sliding cover however this is a glass roof not a sun roof so no air is let in, this doe's not really matter as a built in air conditioning system is installed.
You can as I have purchase additional seats for the 307SW at about £150 per seat so as to increase the capacity of the car to a 7 seater. The seat at the back including the main back seats can be arranged in various different ways even creating a walkway as the salesman told us. This baffled me as I thought why would you want a walkway in a car very dangerous.
There are 5 charging points within the car for things such as DVD Players and kids consoles. These come very in handy especially if like me you use the hand held hoovers.
ROAD HANDLING
Driving such a large car always gives you a sense of security on the road even if it is a false sense but the Peugeot 307SW sticks to the road like a dream.
ABS braking makes life easier and also the Powersteering is so light you hardly feel yourself driving.
Very smooth drive and I must say a real pleasure to drive even with a full load inside be it screaming children or a set of bunk beds lol.
WHAT COMES WITH THE CAR
CD/Radio Player Integrated Air Conditioning 5 Charger Points Airbags Side and Front Central Locking Alloys(optional) Extra Seats (optional)
GEARS OR AUTO
The 307SW also comes with a porsche designed tiptronic gearbox which means as well as automatic control you can also have an element of gear control through the tiptronic gear stick just touch up to change up and likewise to change down, fun but not really a replacement for the gear and clutch junkies lol.
Also on the gear controls is a Sports Mode switch which dramatically increases the acceleration and revs and makes this rather large car feelo like a small sports car. I dont advise using it to much as it drinks petrol like theres no tomorrow.
A cold weather button is also available but I have never had to use it since I have had the car it starts for me everytime.
THING'S I LOVE ABOUT MY 307 SW
Smooth very comfortable drive. Looks fantastic. Fits not only kids but also ideal for transporting stuff. Does not seem to age at all. Glass roof great for summer.
DOWN SIDES
Needs constant updating via engine management system only available through main dealer. Peugeot dealers are very expensive and have tried to rip me off for none exsisting faults twice now. Value has decreased dramatically very quickly now only £6999. Folds up with even the smallest knock. Drinks loads of petrol for a 1.6l.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Overall I would have to recommend this car to any family that are looking for a multi purpose car with style and space. Great for larger families and those who do a lot of moving like us lol.
I have not had any real problems with the car since I have owned it other than those caused by Peugeot service centre all minor and cheap to fix but Peugeot try to charge the earth so would advise getting work done at alternative garage.
I do hope that this review helps anyone looking to buy the Peugeot 307SW and if yoiu have any further questions or queries I will do my best to answer them in the comments section of this review.
Advantages: Loads of space, surprisingly nippy and a very comfortable ride Disadvantages: In a world of shrinking parking spaces it's a deceptively big car, limited choice of colours.
...based my score on previous Peugeot ownership. Asides from that this car meets the size and adaptability requirements of a family car and is actually good fun to drive. I love the looks and I'm so pleased to be able to have the space I need without resorting to something that looks like a bus. ...

Advantages: Comfortable, spacious and reliable Disadvantages: Takes up a good part of a parking bay
I have found this car to be excellent. It has plenty of room, including legroom and height, for passengers, both in the back and front, and lots of boot space too. It has also been very reliable, having had no faults with the car in the 2 years I have been driving it. (The only fault I have experienced is with the CD changer which I had as an optional extra.) Economy rate is fairly good for its size, although not outstanding. The choice of colours ... ...its size, I found it remarkable easy to maneouver and also park. (Actually found it easier than the smaller Ford Focus I had before!) The ride is very comfortable and smooth, with little noise, and it accelerates reasonably well depending on load of course.
Back passenger tables and lights, along with a extra rear 12v power point, has been great for the children. The middle back seat also doubles as a sort of tray when you bring the back down, with ...

Advantages: Size of cabin, Engine Size Disadvantages: Unreliable and Unsafe
I bought my peugeot 307 estate for £5000 cash at the start of May 2007, it is now July 1st and my car has been in the car garage no less than 5times for repairs. These have ranged from electrical through to engine problems. At one point the car broke down on a busy road with my 3 children in the car. I am having no joy with Hardies Peugeot as i now want a refund!!!
The car is also terrible at handling and I have come close to steering off the road ...
