I have found this car to be excellent. It has plenty of room, including legroom and height, for passengers, both in the back and front, and lots of boot space too. It has also been very reliable, having had no faults with the car in the 2 years I have been driving it. (The only fault I have experienced is with the CD changer which I had as an optional extra.) Economy rate is fairly good for its size, although not outstanding. The choice of colours with interiors was also a little limited.

Despite its size, I found it remarkable easy to maneouver and also park. (Actually found it easier than the smaller Ford Focus I had before!) The ride is very comfortable and smooth, with little noise, and it accelerates reasonably well depending on load of course.

Back passenger tables and lights, along with a extra rear 12v power point, has been great for the children. The middle back seat also doubles as a sort of tray when you bring the back down, with a drink holder, book rack etc. Great as long as there is no one sitting in it! The side pockets, both front and back, are very spacious and hold a plethora of road maps, glasses cases etc. The utility pods on both front seats are also quite useful for the mobile etc. Front and a large rear ashtray/bin are also a boon. The glove compartment is a reasonable size and even better it is air conditioned! (you can also turn this off) Great for keeping your drink cold and stopping the boiled sweets going extra sticky in the summer.

Safety Features include:

*Front airbags for both the driver and the passenger. There is also the ability to disable the passenger airbag, which is easy to do, if you want to fit a baby seat in the front.

*Anti-lock brakes

*Central Locking

*Childlocks for the rear doors
  • A Warning if a door is not closed properly plus a display on the central console indicating which one it is. (This includes the boot)
  • A warning sound if you leave your key in the ignition and get out.

*A one button lock for all doors in case you need to lock all the doors in a hurry. (eg someone is trying to get in you don't want)

*The boot will not open if you have been driving and come to a stop leaving the engine running. This prevents people stealing from your boot while you are stopped in a queue, at traffic lights etc.

*Electronic anti-dazzle on the rear view mirror is a useful tool if you drive in the dark quite frequently and remember to turn it on!
Accessories include:
  • Electric windows for both front and back with driver controls for all windows and the ability to disable the back window controls. A must if you have kids who insist on using them as a toy!
  • Air conditioning with climate control. This is fantastic, allowing you to set the temperature you prefer rather than just getting blasts of super cold air.
  • Electric wing mirrors. These are a nice extra with the best feature of them being the electronic retraction that makes getting in and out in tight spaces easy and also prevents those really annoying whacks they usually seem to take.
  • Automatic headlights. These are great and you will never forget to have them on. They seem perfectly set, coming on and going off at just the right light level.
  • Automatic windscreen wipers. These are not so good and are more annoying than useful. They do not operate well in drizzle and I would have preferred to have normal intermittent.

*Cd player with steering stick controls, traffic alerts, and autotuning, but I have experienced some problems with it.

*Mirrors on both front sun visors that can also be lit.
  • A front central light which also has map lights for both the driver and passenger.
  • Electronic key for opening and closing the car (no seperate button for the boot) plus a spare key which is also electronic.

*And last, but not least, is the distinctive glass roof. This is especially good for rear passengers who have an amazing view and the impression of space it gives. For front passengers it provides a little more light but little else. The electric interior cover for it works well and allows partial closure if you wish.
Other features include the abilty to purchase extra seats which can be fitted as a third row, although this will greatly reduce boot space. However, they would probably only suitable for children and not too good for long journeys.
The spare wheel is relatively easy to get to, unless you had the third row of seating, and comes with a good set of accessories. The central display is also useful displaying cd/radio information, time, temperature, date, autowindscreen wiper status, low fuel warning, open door information and tachy info (with steering stalk controls).

Overall an excellent family car with good reliabilty, a luxurious feel to it and some useful accessories.
