I own the 2.0 Litre 307 S and while I would agree with most of the comments made by the first reviewer I would not agree with the idea that the suspension is not good, mine is a joy to drive, the suspension being firm enough to feel sporty yet soft enough to feel comfortable, inside the car there is loads of room with clever storage solutions, under seat trays area great idea, and little pockets for money, your phone etc. The engine in the 2.0 litre ... ...a stand still it really starts to pull when you get up into higher gears, the fuel economy is very reasonable for an engine of this size aswell. If I had to find something to slate on the car then it would be, as the first reviewer has already pointed out, that the indicators are a bit strange, the inicator stalks are a bit sensitive and from turning right it cancels itself and flicks straight over to indicating left. Everything else on the car is fantastic, great radio, good boot space. Im made up with mine, seeing as I got a bargain from E-Bay. £2500
Advantages: Nice economic family car Disadvantages: Not very fast and known indicator problems
...is a known problem with peugeot 307's but it is a very reliable car. suspension not good feel every bump. Decent economic car for miles per gallon and parts easily obtainable at an economic price. Paid only £7995 for car when only 9 months old which felt was a decent amount for size of car. If looking for a fast nippy car i wouldnt pick this as at 70mph car tends to pull back though for town driving is ideal but a decent family car ...

Advantages: New shape is nice, a few neat quirks. Disadvantages: Likes to play up, expensive to service,
The Peugeot307S, on first look, seems revived, the model looks cooler and its got staks more space then little bro, 207! I purchased a 307S 1.6 5 door, as an upgrade to my 406 which served me well. 2 months after buying this car, I have been to the garage 4 times for electrical, leaking, noise faults. I'm hoping this is not the norm, but alas there is a club of peugeot car owners who have told me of similar problems.
On the bright side, fuel economy seems really good, internal space is enhanced due to the generous head room and the grills on the front make me feel its had the Audi touch! I do like the auto locking feature, A/C glove conpartment for keeping drinks cool, wide windscreen and the rear wiper turns on if its raining and you're reversing!
However, ask me if I would buy another peugeot based on my experience so far ...
Advantages: excellent fuel economy and rsponsive drive Disadvantages: none
A great car all-round. Mine is used mostly for long distance drives and covers many miles per year. i have owened three peugeot307's and have always found them to be reliable and very economical(very important when driving many miles a year). The interior is sacious compared to cars of similar size and is well designed and comortable. i woud recommend the 5-dor version over the 3-door as, having owned both, the 5-door is more spacious inside and more practical for day-to-day use. i would also recommend looking at the smaller 1.6 HDi engine rather than the 2.0 if you intend to use the car for shorter journeys and driving in towns and cities as it is more responsive. Both engines have good power output and feel sporty and responsive to drive. ...
Advantages: Safety, frugal, sporty looking Disadvantages: Can feel heavy, long A pillars, annoying interior noises
I bought an 03 Peugeot307S in Aegean Blue for £13,600 brand new, it had the 2.0 HDi 90 engine.
What went wrong:
On the first day my indicator stalk wouldn't reset to its normal position. I phoned the next day to book it in and then when I went up there on the Wednesday they hadn't even ordered the part, it was sorted the next week.
Then after only five days the alternator had to be replaced, which was done overnight, so luckily was only without the car for a day.
This car has adequate performance and is very comfortable to drive.
Being a diesel it has its sluggish moments but then the turbo kicks in at about 1500rpm and it has a nice pull off.
Compared to my last car (a 1.2 Corsa) it is quick but not as quick off the mark, this is probably oweing to its much more noticable weight making the car feel heavy to drive ...
