Peugeot 405 STDT

Perhaps a 405 is not the obvious choice of car for a car enthusiast like me, but as I will explain, this is a serious good motor! I bought the car, a 1993 Peugeot 405 STDT (1.9 Turbo Diesel) back in February this year which means I have had it for nearly 6 months now, making it probably the second longest time I have ever kept a car. It is the car I use on an everyday basis as its a diesel and therefore economical, and, in 5 months of driving, I have covered 5,500 miles in it. I bought the car almost a year ago now to replace my 2004 Ford Mondeo. The 1.9 turbo diesel engine is brilliant and does not smoke at all despite having over 200000 miles on the clock. I've got the GLX model with electric front windows and central locking. It's the 1994 L reg one. Now reliability. Not so good. The brakes hardly work at all when it's under -5 Degrees Celsius and the glow plugs have been replaced many times now and the current ones are on there way out.
