The bike is a dream to ride, with plenty of power enabling good acceleration and a steady top speed. I'm not the smallest rider (6 foot 5 tall, about 13 1/2 stone) but this bike can easily reach 55mph on the flat, perhaps even peaking 60. I have had this bike faster going downhill, but feel safe in the knowledge that this bike will take you to the speed limit quickly and easily. The handling is simply amazing too, and I would say the cornering is the best of any similar scooters. The new single front arm coupled with big fat shocks both front and back means the ride is very smooth. Disc brakes both front & back enable the quickest stopping without throwing you over the bars.
The feature list is pretty impressive for such a low price. The bike has electric starting with kick start backup (standard on most scooters these days), an in-built immobiliser and a built-in lock which retracts over the back wheel arch. This lock is very secure, and coupled with the immobiliser and steering lock, I doubt one of these bikes has ever been stolen (assuming both are used).
The only problem I had with this bike is that it seems to guzzle petrol for a 100cc. Although I do admit to doing a lot of mileage on it, I seem to be forever filling it up, however, its only about £3 for a full tank.
All in all, this is one great little bike for the price, and I would heartily reccomend it to any 17 year old rider looking for a nice cheap scooter that will perform when required and has a few extra bits that you won't find on most scooters.
Advantages: Sleek design and excellent handling Disadvantages: None really
Peugeot as we know design models (the car kind unfortunately) that are constantly well known and praised for their great handling wether you love them or hate them!
So how does a Peugeot motorbike compare with their cars!
Well, this is how I see it. I had one for 3 months. In that time I spent maybe £60 on petrol and 50,000 hours trying to get somewhere.
This 50cc model offers a speed of mainly 45mph. I did manage 52mph once but when I saw the ... ...As we know, when Peugeot models and motors are pushed too hard they become unreliable, therefore, new parts are needed, replacements and repairs.
It cost me just over £3.00 to fill the tiny tank, which could last you a fair time depending how much you travel about on the so called ' Go Faster'!
When I had this bike, I did about 9miles a day on average, and the full tank last me from 3-6 days depending wever I was in and boring or out and stupid!

Advantages: cheap price, superb styling, nippy and an ideal commuter scooter Disadvantages: vibration rattles, petrol tank size and temperamental auto-choke
Peugeot Speedfight 2 100cc Without a shadow of doubt the best looking scooter around. Flawless styling and very good MPG are just two of the many good points about this scooter. The only bad points so far are the tiny fuel tank which only holds 7.2 litres of fuel, the mirrors and a bit of a dodgy automatic choke which can prevent you from opening up the throttle for the first 400 metres. There is space under the seat for a small full face helmet. ... ...be a bit confusing as Peugeot recommends Esso 2t special semi-synthetic oil (which is actually classed as a synthetic blend oil and not semi-synthetic) but bike dealers and everyone else say Esso oil is rubbish and recommend various other oils. The seat lock appears to be as if it could be forced with not to much effort. Another reason why the under seat space should have been used to make the fuel tank bigger. All in all if you must have a scooter ...

Advantages: Quick , fun stylish Disadvantages: expensive parts, can be unreliable if pushed.
I bought a 50cc speedfight when i turned 16 and got it derestricted straight away. I though it would only go about 45mph but it flew up to 55mph even 60 on some down hill straights, it was the most reliable bike about , with the clutch getting burnt out quite easily but it looked good. After i while i got bored with the performance and stuck on a Racing exhaust and racing clutch. I got the baby up 65 on the straight and 70 down hill, the speedo would ...

The Speedfight 50 is the coolest scooter around,my son has had one for a couple of weeks now and loves it,i looked in all the bike shops and found this one to be the best scooter money can buy.Not only looks great, but an ace handler in all situations and quick with it,yes very nippy.
The real bonus with this scooter is the built in snake lock under the tail light, turn a key wrap it round a lamp post and it locks itself,it is fantastic, there is also ...

Advantages: Nice and zippy Disadvantages: Didnt like to start on cold mornings
After testing out several scooters i finally made the decision to get this one! I ended up with a used one, with several thousand miles on the clock for around £800 - a bargain!! When new they're around the £2000 mark. I found that on a cold morning the scooter didnt like to start up - and eventually the electric start would run out and i ended up kick starting it - which did the trick, after letting it warm up there were no more problems with it, ... ...around 55mph on a flat and almost reaching 65mph on a slight downhill slope!! If it was restricted to 33mph (legally it should be if you're 16 and only hold a provisional driving licence) you cant get out of peoples way, and cant keep up with traffic at 33mph - i had mine derestricted as soon as i bought it, and as long as you dont go making a song and dance about it no one will say anything. I would say to anyone with a full car driving licence ...

Advantages: helpful staff Disadvantages: not a huge selection
I bought a 2nd hand PeugeotSpeedfight 2 Silver Sport from here about 2 months ago.
Jonahthan (the tall guy with long hair) is always very helpful and does his best to find the most suitable bike for you and your wallet.
Paid £1000 for 50cc 2stroke the bike which was the same price that i could have got a 100cc 4 stroke honda for, at webbs, which is just a few doors away but it sold just before i went to buy it.
Anyway, they have a selection of bikes from 50cc to 1000cc and from £1000 to £10000+
The one stop shop will sort out your Gloves, Helmet, Jacket, Bike, Insurance & anything else you need to get on the road.
If you are looking for a first or second bike or need a small bike (50 - 125cc) for town running then this really is the ultimate shop to go to. The shop is more like a showroom and less like a garage, and they ...
Advantages: Stylish, Low seated (good for short leggies), Very stylish. Disadvantages: Heavy (depending on your viewpoint)
of the larger front wheel or the heaviness of the scooter which helps to lower the centre of gravity thus providing greater stability. Or perhaps it is because the Habana seat is lower than the Katana allowing me (with my short legs) to get my feet down on the ground fully when stationary .. instead of perching there on tiptoe. Whatever the reason, I feel safer on my Habana.
SUITS MY PERSONALITY: Take a look at this scooter (try aprilia.com if there is no picture here). It is retro, but has a modern edge to it. It is sleek and sophisticated. All in all, it is a great looking scoot for someone who doesn't like the sporty style of, for example, the PeugeotSpeedfight, Suzuki Katana, or Gilera Runner.
SUITED MY PRICE RANGE: The Habana 50 cost me £1649 (on the road) from my local dealer (www.shirlaws.com), and this also covered the cost of my CBT ...
