Like lizzihop I bought a Peugeot from Ian Allen of Woking. My first impression wasn't very favourable as the car was delivered six weeks late and the pre-delivery inspection had failed to notice that there were no tools (so I could not remove a wheel) and the wheel arch linings were missing several fastenings and hanging loose (but not in a good way).
My main problem, though, was with the cruise control. Having an old knee injury, I need cruise control (c.c.) for longer journeys (over 1/2 hour) and the first time I tried the Peugeot c.c. it cut out after 15 minutes, with a flashing warning message. This is both annoying and potentially dangerous, as it results in sudden deceleration on motorways without warning. I reported this to Ian Allen on 20 September but after 12 weeks and six visits to the garage, they still have no idea how to repair the problem.
Their initial response (having failed to take the car for a proper test drive) was that they could do nothing unless their test equipment detected the fault. However, after I used a camcorder to record the failure they did reluctantly accept that a repair was necessary. Unfortunately - for me - they have been unable to arrange with Peugeot HQ for anything to be done.
I have complained to Ian Allen HQ, and had no response, and to Peugeot HQ, who gave me a bland reply to the effect that cars are complicated and I shouldn't expect them to perform perfectly, and that Peugeot were doing their best - 12 weeks to achieve absolutely nothing is apparently regarded by Peugeot as quite normal.
Next step will be to issue a summons, invoking the 1974 Sale of Goods Act.
After that, next step will be to never even consider buying another Peugeot.

I have a pug myself but no fancy features like C.C! You would expect better buying from a respectable dealership, I hope you can get to the bottom of this.
