i have been a peugeot owner for over 5 years now and have to say how happy i am with the car itself. I own a peugeot 306 xsi, it has a 2 litre 16 valve engine, which is pretty much exactly the same engine as in the renault megane 2.0 16 valve sport cars. (which incidentally is not as fast on a track from personnal experience). When searching for the ideal car for me, i narrowed it down to two in the same catagory of small sporty hachbacks, the volkswagen golf gti and the peugeot 306 xsi, (roughly the same insurance, price etc etc...). Obviously in the end i decided upon the peugeot, admittedly it was based on looks alone! this is a fantastic looking car as im sure anyone would agree, well after the 1997 facelift anyway, but when you start to drive the car itself you will be glad you bought one. great ride comfort in seats that hold you in snugly, great tight engine performance with brilliant throttle response and fantastic gear box. The reliability has been excellent over the years and although i havent kept the car up to date on the service front it has always given me great performance. There is even a/c and rain sensitive windscreen wipers!!!. If there is one flaw it is the cloth interior it simply isnt hardy enough for extende day to day use, this however can be overcome by buying a half leather interior second hand off an auction site for less than £150 and is made much tougher and looks lovely too. As other cars from 1997/8 have had different shapes etc since, the peugeot hasnt and has therefore stood the test of time and does not look dated whatsoever, even in todays market! I wholeheartedly recommend this car which can be bought for very reasonable money nowadays, and outperforms just about anything in its class. Thankyou for reading, hope you found this review helpful.

Good first review ,the 306 is a good car I have to agree, if I had to offer some advice on this, I would like to see a few more paragraphs to split up the information (to make it easier to read) and a bit more info on the car, performance mpg, handling etc, but its only my opinion! You'll do fine I'm sure, ...Terry
